I was afraid when I saw the title that something along those lines had happened. I'm sorry to hear that's the case, but it's good to see you are doing all right and you two have seperated on good terms.

I know it's hard to not return for over a year, but when you do go back to WDW, you and your sister are going to have so much fun staying at a deluxe!

Sounds like you had a successful shopping trip. Even though it's not WWOHP, new outfits are a close second.

I'm so sorry to hear about you and Zaheer. I'm glad you got to go on your trip, though, and that you will remain friends! I think skipping next year is a good idea, so you will be able to stay deluxe the year after when you go with your sister, AND the new Fantasyland will be complete!

Awww, I'm sorry you didn't get to see WWoHP, but at least you got to do some shopping! And Boma looks awesome! We always go for breakfast, but we really have to try dinner someday!

Aaw thanks Jen I'm so happy that we got to go on our trip as well. I came up with the same conclusion. I would love to go next year but it will probably have to be at a value resort again. I would rather save and stay at a deluxe as well as seeing the new Fantasyland!

In a way I'm happy we didn't do WWoHP as it would've been too rushed and it also means I have something else to look forward to on my next trip Boma was amazing! I would highly recommend dinner.

So sorry to hear about you and Zaheer. Breaking up is always so hard. It sounds like you have the right perspective on everything and I'm glad you enjoyed your trip together.

Even though you won't be returning to the world for two years. saving and planning for a deluxe resort will be so much fun. And I, for one, can't wait to hear all about it!

Thank you Mary Ellen It was a hard thing to go through but I feel much better about everything at the moment. I try to have the right perspective and wouldn't change having our Disney trip for anything.

I can't wait to start planning for a deluxe stay!! I want to add a new ticker (you can tell I am patient ) but need to wait to see when my sister's exams are as we have to plan around them.

Bummer about not getting to visit IOA. I have to say, I never shell out the money for a ticket there when I have an AP. It's just too much money on park tickets. One of these visits I will get back there. Just not sure when.

It was a bit of a bummer but we had a choice of spending the money on IOA tickets when half the day would have already passed us by or going shopping and getting some bargains! I'm sure I will get to WWoHP one day.

I love Boma. I have to tell you that I absolutely love chick pea salad. It is my new favorite food. I think I could eat it everyday. I love everything vegetarian and that is high on my list.

Oh, I love it too! The chick pea salad was very nice but my favourite was the pitta bread with houmous. I could eat that everyday Boma had so many choices for us and with that I'm not even sure we needed the chicken but it was very enjoyable.

Fun time shopping. I always realize how spoiled we are in the US when my DIS friends from other countries talk about their shopping experiences here. I hope I never take it for granted.

It sure was fun and I was amazed by the bargains. I wish we had the same sort of things here..we do have some great buys but I loved the shopping choices available in the US. I'm sure you probably would never take it for granted.

P.S. My son Nicholas watches soccer constantly - loves Manchester United. It's always on in our house. How cool it would be to actually see a game. I bet its NUTS!

Yay!! Your son has great taste when it comes to soccer/football! I love watching the game and during school/college I used to work at Manchester United (part time job) and got to watch the football matches for free!! It was awesome...the atmosphere is just out of this world!!

I'm sorry you won't be coming to Disney in 2012....but I love the idea of waiting longer so you can stay deluxe! I don't have any trips scheduled for the future either - I'm in somewhat of the same position as you! I told myself I have to get a job before I take any more Disney trips, so hopefully that will happen before my pass expires on June 5th, 2012!

You guessed from the title! I tried to hide it a little bit. My other choice was 'Did a 1st trip to Disney break my heart as well as the bank!'...that would have been a massive giveaway! Aaw thank you for your kind words hun I'm also glad we are still on good terms.

I know...I'm so excited!! I spent some time yesterday on the WDW website looking at all the deluxe resorts. So far I am tempted by Beach Club but I still have plenty of time to change my mind!

Shopping is definitely not WWoHP but you are sure right in that it is a close second!

Thanks! The M&M store was great...it was like I was a kid again with all these sweets around me! I agree and I get why Jasmine loves Forever 21 after visiting that shop. We don't have one in the UK (or I don't know about it!) so I loved spending some time in there.

As usual we were in no rush to start the day and left for Epcot around 11am.

We noticed that there was no queue at the MNSSHP ticket booths so I went and got our tickets - woohoo!!

I was soo excited to be attending the party on Friday! After I had securely places the tickets in my bag and gone through bag check there was only one place we were going to...The Land!!! We got FPs for Soarin with a return time of 3.30pm and then headed to Sunshine Seasons.

We chose the Seared tuna with noodles which was nice but a little spicy for my liking. I also got a coffee with my all time favourite snack - Strawberry Shortcake!!! Absolutely awesome!!

What I wouldn't give to be sat at Sunshine Seasons drinking a hot cup of coffee with that Strawberry Shortcake right now...

Zaheer got bored of waiting for me to drink my coffee and wanted to know what all the fuss with the Minnie ears was about!!

Hilarious!!!

Of course I had to show him how they were meant to be worn...

After we were done eating we decided to spend a little time in Innoventions. We did the Piggy Bank Adventure and chose the holiday vacation option.

There was a father daughter team next to us and the dad wanted to choose retirement and the daughter asked what that was. It was so sweet seeing the interaction between the two of them and the way the father explained the answer.

Anyway we nearly met our target but didn't reach it - soo annoying!

I wanted to try a Segway and went to the area to see it was empty. I asked a CM about it and she told me that they had stopped offering the Segways at Innoventions. I guess they want more people to take the tour rather than just have a go at Innoventions. I get the reason but I think I would like to try one first to see if I could balance on the thing. There is no point paying for a tour if I am going to keep falling over! Just saying...

We then noticed The House of Innoventions tour was starting so decided to join. We loved seeing the future gadgets though there was this barbecue grill at the end which the CM was not allowed to give any information about. It was a prototype and still being worked on. We tried our best to get some more information but failed miserably! We were also told that the house was being changed so hopefully when I see it next time it will be something different.

We exited Innoventions and went to Club Cool. I tried my best to trick Zaheer into drinking Beverly! He tried it and made a funny face but I was too slow with the camera and this is all I got. He wasn't too keen to try the drink again...gee I wonder why?

I tried a sip of Beverly and UGH it is the worst drink ever! We both enjoyed the apple flavour one from Mexico.

We still hadn't seen much of World Showcase so headed towards all the different countries. We took a couple of shots along the way.

We saw that Duffy did not have much of a queue and got in line. He was sweet and told us (via his CM) to tag Marie for him - I think the conversation started because of my Marie top. Apparently the characters in WS have a tag game going at times and they do this through the Meet n Greets. I loved the idea!

Our first stop was Mexico. We loved the way each country was decorated and Zaheer tried on a Sombrero.

We went inside and rode Gran Fiesta. I loved the video and Donald Duck was great!

We had a look around the shop took a couple of photos and decided to head out.

We got to the exit and it was pouring down with rain. So we turned around and spent some more time in the shops. We spoke with the lady who designed these animals and asked her how she did it. Her English wasn't great but she told us that it was a family tradition and she had just picked it up. What a talent to have!

The rain had calmed down a bit and seeing as it rains all the time in the UK and we can handle it we decided to carry on with our WS tour. We went to Norway and had a look in the bakery. We didn't spend much time here as knew we would be returning for dinner.

We headed to China and watched Reflections of China. We both enjoyed this show and it made us want to visit China one day!

We spent quite a bit of time in the shop trying on robes and masks - I have to warn you that the next couple of pics are scary!!

Coming next: The rest of World Showcase and dinner with the Princesses. Also, would I end up tagging Marie for Duffy?

Go Zaheer for trying on those minnie ears! Dare I say they look cute on him? I'm glad you guys got into the spirit of trying on masks and hats and stuff. I need to do that more on my next trip!

Too bad you were not able to try a segway, but I am here to tell you that they are very easy to ride. I did one of the tours last September and I had a blast. I highly recommend it. They train you very well before you hit the road. Consider doing one on your next trip. They are pricey, but worth it.

I love the Mexico pavilion. I think the dark and the quiet is really relaxing after an afternoon in the sun and heat. Plus, the boat ride is a perfect place to rest tired feet for a bit.

I laughed that Duffy brought you into a game of character tag. I had no clue they did stuff like that. It made me laugh to hear about it.
