'Where's your prince' and will this tale end 'happily ever after'? Sept 11 - Complete

By now our stomachs were grumbling and we were ready for some food. We headed to Columbia Harbour House. We shared an Anchors Aweigh sandwich which was nice and a refreshing change from fried food.

We got diet coke with lemonade (a drink I fell in love with on this trip) and for dessert we wanted the strawberry yoghurt bit it contained gelatine so we went with the apple crisp. We didn't like this but may give it another chance on a future trip. Speaking of future trips I seem to keep checking dates for May 2012 - think I would love to see the F&G festival. If I find a permanent job then this trip is definitely taking place!

We sat upstairs and this was our view

After our food we went on Haunted Mansion. I loved the interactive queue and being able to make music.

I had a ghost on top of me in the final room!

We went on It's a Small World next - we both LOVED this ride! It is AWESOME! Zaheer joked that there were people smaller than me out there! We loved every bit of this attraction and then seeing all the goodbye signs at the end.

I saw that the Tiana and Naveen meet and greet was nearby however they weren't out at the minute. We than noticed the Ariel and Eric queue but that was closed as well. We weren't having as much luck with our meets today.

Picture limit reached - I blame IASW!

At this point we decided to go and meet the Fairies. I wanted to get a Dole Whip but we had just eaten and knew we would be returning to MK later on in the trip. We had to wait quite a bit for the Fairies but I wrote in my journal so it didn't seem that long to me. I met Rosetta and Tink - Zaheer didn't want to get involved in this meet n greet.

Rosetta sure loves to talk! She went on and on...calling me Sugar Plum and letting me know that it was her idea to decorate the nook. I told her she had great taste to which she laughed out loud and said 'I know'!

I then met with Tink and had a lovely chat with her. I told her Peter Pan sent his love. She asked if I had eyes under my sunglasses as I had them perched on my head. I said yes and she then asked if I had eyes in the back of my head as well! I told her I needed them when in the classroom. She asked me to say hellp to everyone on the mainland.

I love how they sat on the floor when interacting with children and we got this shot during our time at the nook.

DSCF0558-1.jpg

We then did the Margic Carpets of Aladdin. Zaheer loved the spitting camel!

Afterwards we decided to see Enchanted Tiki Room. I was just getting into this and joining in the singsong - it's a tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki, tiki room when there was a loud bang! The speakers got stuck and started making a funny noise and we were told to exit! Lol we sure had plenty of drama during this trip! We never made it back here.

Next was Jungle Cruise and this was a blast! We both LOVED this and Sam our skipper was AWESOME! He made us laugh the whole time we were on the boat.

Coming next: The story behind the first part of the title.

I'm late but I'm joining in! I love reading other couples-only TRs! You got some great photos and I really hope you made it back to try Dole Whip :) I just tried it this trip and it was probably the greatest thing I've ever had. Yum!

Can't wait to read more :thumbsup2

wow that is a really busy Magic Kingdom day. What a way to start the trip!!!

I am so jealous that you met Rosetta, I haven't met her in many fairy stops :sad1:

What a great day!!!
I love the dream along with Mickey show! <3
I laughed so hard at your "Zaheer joked that there were people smaller than me out there!" because I'm pretty sure Johnny said the same thing to me our first time!!
Awww cool!!! I didn't get a chance to meet the fairies. Wishing I had now though, it's so pretty in there!
I can't believe the Tiki Room "broke" while you were in there! You didn't miss much ;) HAhaha, Johnny thinks it was several minutes of his life that he lost and will never get back. :rotfl:
I love the jungle cruise! Our skipper wasn't all that fantastic, but I'm glad you had a good one for your first cruise!
That pirate tutorial was cool, I watched a bit of that too.
I can't wait to hear the story behind the title!

Love the update! Such fantastic pictures :) I never stop to see the show in front of the castle, I probably should one of these days :)

I hope you get a permanent job so you can go back soon, I love that you're already thinking about it! Knowing us Disney lovers you were probably thinking about coming back before you had left this trip, that's what I do :)

Your Magic Kingdom day sounds like so much fun! I didn't even know about the trolley parade. I'm going to have to try to check that out. Splash Mountain is a classic and I love it. We actually found a copy of Song of the South a month or so ago so I'll have to watch it at some point.

I hope your May 2012 trip works out :) We were there the third week of May and I thought it was a lovely time of year. If you guys are fans of Star Wars, there are Star Wars weekends also.

Great updates! Was it the drop on Splash that bothered Zaheer? That is the same Rosetta that we met (well, one of them :lmao:) wasn't she great? Sounds like a great start to your first day at MK. Hope you get to plan your second trip!

Fantastic update! :goodvibes

You took loads of great photos.. I liked seeing the ones of the Country Bear Jamboree, I think I've only done that once (in 1993!) and can't imagine DH ever going in there with me :cutie: hehe

We've seen the 'Dream Along with Mickey' show from a distance, usually while walking past but not stopped to watch it all the way through, it looks really cute though!

And I love the lemonade they serve at Disney too, I order that at nearly every counter service we go to! :goodvibes wish our lemonade was more like that in England hehe.

Hope you're having a lovely weekend,

Emma princess: x

I can't wait for the story!!!

Love your pictures, they are fantastic! I think you did a great job mixing in rides with enjoying all the other wonderful perks of the parks!

I can't believe Zaheer didn't like Splash...

I chuckled when you gave a date for the next trip...You caught the bug before you landed in Orlando and certainly I think it grew while you were there!

Tanz, I am FINALLY all caught up. Love the DTD photos. And you got great shots at the AK and the MK (I love how you have posted all of your photos). It looks like you guys are having a blast. And I am definitely putting California Grill on the list for our next trip...I've read so many great reviews lately.

Sounds like a great MK day! How could Zaheer not like Splash Mountain?! It's a classic!

I like the pictures from the upstairs of CHH-we only recently discovered that place but what a neat view!

A May trip sounds awesome. We went a couple years ago and the weather was gorgeous. Plus the Flower and Garden Festival makes Epcot even more, well, festive!

:welcome: Megan! Thanks for joining and you are definitely not late - we are only on day 2 of a two week trip! There are plenty more updates to come. I'm glad you liked the photos. I want to say that we did return for that Dole Whip but will reveal all later...:lmao:

Hope to post more soon :)

wow that is a really busy Magic Kingdom day. What a way to start the trip!!!

I am so jealous that you met Rosetta, I haven't met her in many fairy stops :sad1:

Thanks!! It sure was a great start! Although it looks like we had a really busy day because of the queues it was actually a nice pace and we got to take in the surroundings as well :thumbsup2

Ooh we loved our meet with Rosetta! I hope you get to see her on a future fairy stop - I want to meet Vidia now!

What a great day!!!
I love the dream along with Mickey show! <3

Thanks! It sure was a great day! Though think I could say the same about most of our Disney days! :rotfl:
That was a great show - looking forward to reading if you got to see it during your trip.
Lol our partners sure know how to make us feel better about our heights!! :lmao: I'm always told 'nice things come in small packages' ;)
The nook was really pretty - even Zaheer commented on that. I hope you get to see them on a future trip.
I know - what are the chances of that happening! I'm happy to hear that I didn't miss much and like Johnny didn't lose 'several minutes of my life that I will never get back!' ;)
I love JC now as well - it's a shame you didn't get a fantastic skipper. I was worried about that but luckily it turned out great!
It's nothing too exciting but I can't wait to share the story either.

Thanks! It's nice to hear good feedback on the pictures as I am not the best of photographers but I think Disney makes you forget that! :thumbsup2 Another reason to visit again (as if I really need one!) ;) I hope you get to see the DAWM show one day as I think it is great :)

Aaw thanks - I hope so too. You all know that Disney was on my mind the minute we got on the bus to the airport. The UK website has a good deal but you need to book it by November. I keep wanting to click on 'book it' but then the sensible side of me stops and thinks about it

It sure was a lot of fun! If I'm honest I don't think we would have watched the trolley parade if it wasn't happening whilst we were on Main St. However, I am so happy we got to watch it and will definitely look out for again. I hope you get to watch it in October. I am with you on Splash Mountain - it is such a classic. Enjoy watching Song of the South - I have never seen it but am going to make sure I do in the near future.

Thanks - I hope it works out too :) I enjoyed reading your May TR and Star Wars sure does look like fun!

Great updates! Was it the drop on Splash that bothered Zaheer? That is the same Rosetta that we met (well, one of them :lmao:) wasn't she great? Sounds like a great start to your first day at MK. Hope you get to plan your second trip!

Thanks Shannon! It sure was the drop that bothered Zaheer - he loved the theming and the rest of the ride but as soon as that drop came you could see the fear in his face. Poor thing, however he saw it before coming on but I managed to tell him everything would be fine and he had nothing to worry about. I told him that about quite a few attractions!

Lol you guys met more than one Rosetta! Hilarious! :rotfl: Looking forward to hearing how DD reacted to this. I hope I get to plan a second trip as well.

Fantastic update! :goodvibes

Thanks Emma! :goodvibes

I think because it was our first trip we were just 'happy snappers' We enjoyed Country Bear Jamboree but probably won't rush back. I hope you can persuade DH to visit here one day but can understand why he would want to stay away hehe.

We saw the DAWM show again whilst walking by but loved watching it from start to finish early on in the day. If you ever get the time you should try and see it as I think you would really enjoy it.

Yay, I also love Disney lemonade and don't understand why England can't have that type of Lemonade! Oh well it just means more trips to Disney World ;)

I am having a great weekend! Hope you are too :goodvibes

I can't wait for the story!!!

I can't believe Zaheer didn't like Splash...

I chuckled when you gave a date for the next trip...You caught the bug before you landed in Orlando and certainly I think it grew while you were there!

I think I've built this story up to be more than it is! Oh well I'll let you all be the judge of that when I post it later on in the week.

Aaw thanks Debby :goodvibes Like I mentioned I don't consider myself the best photographer so it's nice to hear them comments. I think we did well in mixing the rides with the perks of the parks as well.

I know...I should've explained better. He enjoyed Splash but the last drop just put him off it. If it didn't have the drop then he would've returned on it in a heartbeat. However I loved the drop and probably wouldn't have liked the attration without it :rotfl:

Haha your comment made me chuckle but I think you have hit the nail on the head ;)

Yay, thanks for catching up Kathy! :goodvibes

We loved every where we went at Disney World and lol we took lots of photos! I have left some out but posted most of the ones we took :thumbsup2

Oh you definitely have to put Cali Grill on the top of your list - we had a blast here!

It sure was Sarah! I know but I think the drop put him off it - he knew it was coming but didn't like it at all :confused3 I totally get why it's a classic and loved it!

The upstairs view of CHH sure is neat! I'm glad I knew about that - thanks to these boards ;)

I really hope a May trip comes together - having seen photos of the F&G festival I really want to see it. We loved Epcot on this trip so can't even imagine it being even more festive!

What a great day so far!

There's nothing like the first visit to the Magic Kingdom. There's something so magical about it. *sigh*

Wow--that's some major updating today!

Great pictures! You got so much done despite the late start on rides. I'm another one who's never seen the dream along with Mickey show--this year we really planned to make a point of seeing it, but it just didn't happen.

So did you make Zaheer go on Splash Mountain again since you saw It's Tough to be a Bug twice for him?

What a great update! I loved all the photos. :goodvibes Splash is my fav ride in MK....too bad Zaheer didn't like it!

WOW! You are an update Queen!:worship: First I want to tell you how nice all your pictures are and I love the angles you have been taking them at!

I want your chocolate crosant! We've caught the rope drop show in the past but never the Trolley parade!

I still have not been on splash moutain:sad2: Ugh, I should have as it would have cooled me down a lot!

Did I see a mention of a possible new trip???:yay:

Never made it to CCH, but love the view and now I know where to sit when we do go!

That spitting camel got me when I didn't expect it!

DAWM is awesome, Kadence had Daddy video the whole thing backin Jan and she watches it all the time!

What else am I forgetting?? Oh characters, Woody and Jessie are so cute Kadence loved them and Sam even got in that photo in Jan.

Jealous you saw Fawn. Wish we would have gotten her instead of Vidia in Jan.

I hope you got to see mnore as the trip goes on!

What a great day at MK you guys had!

We didn't get a chance to see the DAWM show... kinda bummed now, because it looks like it was great fun! Oh, well... there's always next time, right? ;)

I'm here, I have to get caught up, but I wanted to sub before I forgot or something! Just got back from our trip last night, so I'm totally exhausted, trying to get caught up on laundry AND the Dis, and mentally prepare myself for going back to work tomorrow...ughhh!!!
