Do you have a favorite spot to sit and relax or people watch?

Mine is in MK at twilight between Crystal Palace, the castle and Adventureland. I love the way the CP is lit up and watching the characters walking around, especially that bright orange Tigger. Looking over and seeing the end of Main Street all lit up. Of course the castle changing colors is another beautiful sight. In the other direction is the entrance to Adventureland with the faint sound of drums. Off in the distance Tomorrowland takes on a whole new look when everything just glows. :cloud9:

I think that is mine as well?? Not sure. The one I'm thinking of,is to the left of the Walt-Mickey statue,by the castle. Great for viewing the fireworks, and Tink flies right by you!! :flower:

I have a few.

At MK--any bench on the path between Tomorrowland and Toontown. It's always so quiet back there--you can feel like you're alone in the park.

Also in Tomorrowland back past CoP. I love to hear the TTA go by. (Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow. Your party from Saturn has arrived--please give them a ring."

At Epcot--in the England pavilion in the courtyard back behind everything. Quiet and peaceful unless the British Invasion is playing.

In MK, the Hub, facing the Castle for the Kiss. Also in MK, the rocking chairs by Diamond Horseshoe watching folks stroll along in Frontierland.

In Epcot, Fountianview Cafe watching Fountain of Nations. In France, by Impressions, sipping frozen Cappuchino.

Never sat in MGM......

AK, the old AP lounge by Flame Tree & the back seating area at Tusker.

I'm a novice at sitting while in WDW, was just recently that I tried doing that. :earboy2:

I don't know. I never remember sitting, but as i also approach the big 4-0, I might have to save this thread for future reference.

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

We always saddled up on the bench on the 'water side' of the walkway through the World Showcase, right outside of Italy......to take in the Opera..............that was up until this next trip in Sept.......since the Opera is no longer in existence..........SOOOOO disappointed......

but back to the point, that was always our favorite bench..........we'll have to find a new one on this next trip................

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Anyone else notice that they have taken out a lot of benches? There used to be benches near the fence overlooking the water on the walkway both sides of the American Adventure outdoor theater. They were gone last week except for 2 benches across from the Espresso Stand. I think they have removed quite a few from around the lake in Epcot. Kind of hard for us older folk who get weary and would like to sit and wait for illuminations.

The bench behind the clothing kiosk at the exit of Kali in AK. I love to sit and watch the monkeys that live in the temple.

it isn't really a bench but there is a great spot which we love at blizzard beach and would have to be early to get there:
it is the area right next to the bridge it has about 2-3 deck chairs and a picnic table and is great lasing in the sun while watching the people go by on the tyres and is close to the ski lift the kids zone and the steps to the main parts and also close to the lasy river
:cloud9: can't wait to get back to sitting there
basically it is close to nearly everywhere so it's great and nobody notices it because they either walk by it or just go to the beach part
two things.
1.do you have any pictures of where you sit?
2. NOBODY and i mean NOBODY take that space when im there which is from late april-early may

The bench on the left side of the hub facing Cinderella's Castle on Main Street would have to be mine. It's great to people watch and soak up the sounds of music on Main Street and all of the good food wafting around from the Main Street Bakery and Sleepy Hollow right behind it. :mickeybar

I have several that haven't been mentioned-
Epcot-In UK, shortly past R&C, listening to the music ("Play the Sunset" for any other Mr. Holland's Opus fans-wish I knew what that song really was)
In MK-right in front of Tony's, actually these are rocking chairs, where I can watch the families enter from under the train station and see Main Street and all the characters in Town Square.
Animal Kingdom-benches in front of the store just as you enter Discovery Island from the entrance. The store is on your right and has the tip board in front of it.
MGM-any bench right along Hollywood Boulevard, again to watch everyone come in and see MGM for the first time.
Sitting on a bench, people-watching is definitely one of my favorite pasttimes at WDW.

I like the benches on the old boat dock down by the Rose Garden in MK.

near the old Oddesy (sp) , I think that is the name of the big empty brown building in EPCOT, there is a bench that gets the afternoon sun. DH and I enjoy a bag of popcorn while the kids watch the ducks on the water. very peaceful and quiet and WARM on a coll January aftrnoon. Perfect memory! Great for just saoking up the atmosphere and being thankful to be in the World.

Like this question! I would have to say it is in Liberty Square across from the Liberty tree in MK. In Epcot on the water side in Canada. We would love to enjoy our beavertails there. :)

In MK it is the rocking chairs on the porch near Tony's TAvern, on the porch by the steps ....Great view of people coming and going in the evening and a great people watching place...If you can snag them for Spectro it is wonderful!!!

The rocking chairs in front of Liberty Tree Tavern, a great resting area in the afternoon... :sunny:

That's my favorite too! :wizard:

I love the bench in the victorian garden in England, it's very nice to sit, relax, and doze off.

:cool1: Liberty Tree Tavern Rocking chairs are THE best!!! Planted our family of 5 (plus one "bun in the oven" :wave2: ) on those rockers right after an awesome lunch at Liberty Tee...It was quite early for the 3 p.m. parade, but we enjoyed Mickey popsicles ( :mickeybar YUMMMM!) for dessert as we people watched and then enjoyed the parade in the shade!!!! The best part is that we did not even try to plan this working out the way it did...It just DID!!!
