Have you ever wandered into a book store just to find air conditioning because at 115 degrees you find that if you stand outside for longer than 30 seconds your shoes melt to the sidewalk? Well I have and when I got there, I happened to stumble across a childrens book called Where's Waldo. And when I mean stumbled across, I mean literally. After knocking down an entire display of the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Mystery books (are those two guys hitting on Nancy or what?), I picked myself and the Waldo book off the ground and looked for somewhere nice and quiet (and soft) to see what this book had to offer. I began to thumb through the pages only to find that this yahoo named Waldo was not only poorly dressed in a striped shirt and a ski hat, he was also hopelessly direction-challenged. This dude seemed to always be lost. I hunted for that guy page after page. You would think after getting lost that he would try not to get into that situation again but every page, it was exactly the same thing. And it was obvious that Waldo was a guy since not once did he ask for directions.
Well anyway, Waldo got me to thinking. Every week, we have something similar happen on the Collector's board. But instead of searching for a geek with no fashion sense, we are looking for pins and pin traders. You might be asking yourself, "Self? I wonder where I could find some pins and pin traders at 9:00 PM Eastern Time on Thursday night?" Of course if you are talking to yourself, you may as well answer yourself as well since you would hate to think you were being rude to yourself so you would probably answer, "Well self, I would go and check out the Pin Trading Chat that is held on Thursday nights."
So why don't you and yourself wander on by and see what everyone is talking about. Who knows, maybe even Waldo will be there if he finds his way off that beach wearing a ski hat and that stupid red and white shirt.
