Help! I am a lost Disney soul who has been in a fog for a few months now and have not been able to recapture the magic. Anyone out ther know what I can do to get the excitement back? We are planning on a trip to WDW in July for 14 to 17 days, but for some reason I have not had the usual excitement. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy we are going back, but the old goof has not been around lately. WHAT DO I DO?????:(

CDs of park music and the souvenir videos always pep me up.

You know the other day I was stressing a bit and just couldn't get my excitement up for our trip, then I had to call Disney about something and the very nice CSR had to put on hold for a minute and I gotta say the music pepped me right up and brought back the excitement! I listened to the end of A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes and part of It's a Small World Afterall and all was right with the world! :teeth: Give it a try!

Put out a request on these boards requesting postcards from people who are going to WDW while they are there telling you the funnest thing they did? I like getting surprise mail from Disney. It gets me in the mood.

Whenever we need a fix, we find Epcot's fireworks and just listen to the music over and over and over....it works wonders!!!

Okay...I posted a link and it takes you to La Noumba....drat!

Here's how to get there.....

-roll your mouse over Destinations...and click on Walt Disney World Resort
-in the upper left corner, click on Parks and select Epcot
-click on Entertainment in the upper left corner under "Epcot"
-click on Illuminations: Reflections of Earth
-Enjoy!!!

PS You can also do this for Wishes over at MK!!! Kids love it!!!

go over to live365.com and do a search for disney. listen to a few disney stations online for a while. they make me want to be there daily.

(my fav's are Visions Fantastic, Radio Buena Vista, Park Hopper Radio and Disney Rob Radio.)

Any time I need a Disney Fix I goto www.live365.com do a search for Disney and you can listen to music from around the WORLD.

Not sure if this will help you out or not. What I do, is make one of my two DD's play disney tunes on the piano. They warm up with a few of their favorites and by the time they get to Zip-a-dee-da(my favorite), I am right back in the mood. Good luck finding how to get to your happy place.

My son plays Winnie The Pooh, It's a Small World, and Mickey Mouse March..............and I'm right in the mood!

We don't have the music to Zip a Dee Doo Dah..........I wonder if I could find it on-line?

I also start going through the disney clothes to see what to put together for outfits, what each son will wear to each park.................probably wouldn't help the OP, but another clothes horse mama might want to try it! It makes me really happy!

Also, these boards, and especially posting these bouncy things, and looking at the "dancing" posts!

I visit the DIS between trips. It helps keep the magic alive for me :)

The official disney site is cool! I didn't know it had samplings of the park shows! I can hardly wait for my next trip!

Thanks, pklein09!

My pleasure Marie! We'll just sit with the kids before bedtime and ask them where they want to go, and each one has their favorite. My favorites are the fireworks...it works every time....it brings me right there, either to Main Street or the World Showcase, with all the sights and sounds. Ahhh...it's pure magic!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. They all helped and, wait, I think I feel it a little, there is still be a little magic flame I just feel like it needs to be turned up. I am here with DD and DS watching Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas and that too is helping a bit. Maybe if I put a countdown clock in my posts and take some time each day to check it I will start feeling better. I know that the child inside is hiding somewhere but my seaking powers are just waning a bit right now. I am going to search and find that countdown clock and then look into actually booking our July trip. Thanks again everyone and keep the magic coming. I knew I could count on the Disboards.:wave2:

Hey, I think I found it. Is it really this easy? I am now officially back to the excitement and cannot wait until June 29th. We are officially going to take a 17 day vacation with all but 2.5 days (drive time) at WDW :cool1: :jumping4: :Pinkbounc The magic has returned and I am now officially back to being the goofyguy that DD and DS love do much. :earboy2:
