DH couldn't take the suspense, and looked it up first. I was threatening him big time last night because I didn;t want to know before it happened. What a wonderful night for Carly! WTG!!

Congrats to her!! She did excellent!

I was so ticked at the Dallas Morning News yesterday, I went online like I always do to read the paper and right there in bold print was that she won Gold, this was of course in the afternoon right after it happened.

THe night Haam won, I checked my yahoo email and it was on the yahoo homepage!

Next Olympics, I'm going to live in a bubble so I don't read these things! It ruins the surprise!!!

Carly's an amazing gymnast, and looked like she was having fun when she was doing the actual routines. She looked a little stressed between routines (understandable) but she looked like she was having so much fun, which is great. I'm so glad she won-she really deserved it.

LOL, I heard about Khorkina's comments at the press conference, "I am still Olympic champion, if the judges were Greek (??) they would not have denied me, it will be on their conscience" (yeah, right!), blah, blah, blah. How anyone who watched last night's competition could have thought the wrong person won is beyond me. Get over it, Svet.

Did they ever show a shot of her family? Did they even make it to the Olympics? They show Michael Phelp's Mom and sisters a lot. Just wondering.

In the paper it said her Dad watched it on TV in BR with other relatives, with TV cameras taping his reaction.

Carly was great last night. It was almost like her mistakes in the team competition made her want the gold more!

Unfortunately I fell asleep last night, but I knew to set the vcr to tape it, just in case. I can't wait to go home & watch her floor routine.

Sorry, but where is "BR"? We keep wondering where her dad is. The local news channels have talked to Carly's mom a lot.
