Hi, trying to plan a holiday for next year, found flights we want am now looking for hotels to book, where is the best website to find reasonable prices, don't want a mega posh hotel just somewhere close to disney for as little money as possible, never booked a diy package before so no idea where to start, took me ages to find the flights, it's for 8 nights.:)

Personally think Expedia have got expensive for hotels the last year or so.
Do a search with these 2 links, then if you find anything compare with expedia and a few other sites there are loads out there, I have about 25-30 sites in my faves.
We like Courtyard by Marriott LBV, last twice we have stayed there we have paid around £25/night, If you like to walk it is within walking distance of DTD, a lot easier by car though:goodvibes free wireless internet inroom, great place for the money.

We stayed at Springhill suites, Marriott village, LBV in january and the location was perfect but i priced that up and it was really expensive so i'll try the courtyard, i'm guessing that was one of the others next to it, didn't take much notice while we were there, but if we could get that for £25 a night would be great, thanks off to price some up.:thumbsup2

There is a Courtyard at Marriott Village but the one we use is on Palm Parkway, not far from Marriott village, its next to Crossroads.

Just checked our dates for next August, Alpharooms is cheapest just now at £31.47/night. I always book it thru my rpoints.com account which gives 3.5% cashback for Alpharooms, so it would bring price down to £30.37. Still a good price but £5/night more than this August. Hoping it comes down a bit before I book:)

What dates you looking for?

I would also say TravelSupermarket is a good place to try.

It's often hit and miss with Expedia and common for there to be no availability in my experience when trying to book with them.

A problems I have had with Expedia(not for Florida) is no bed for child, I used them for a hotel in Scarborough and another time in Amsterdam, both times booked a room suitable for 3. When we arrived in both places just a double bed, the hotel then had to get an extra bed in for us, the one in Amsterdam took them until 12 midnight to find us one, not good with a tired child. Expedia dont seem to pass on enough details or requests you give them.

We are going to Las vegas on the 9th june for 4 nights so from the 12th june to the 20th, 2 adults 2 kids. Any nice hotels you know in vegas by any chance?
If my memory is good, i'm sure crossroads is even closer to dtd?

Yes Crossroads is straight opposite the entance into Disney(Hotel Blvd).
Going to Vegas for 1st time in 4 weeks so can't help you really. My Brother goes very 2-3 months and loves it, I am not sure we will as we are not gamblers or drinkers but will give it a go for 4 nights. we have booked to see the Cirque show 'O'. Hope its better than Cirque at DTD did not enjoy that much but DW and DS did.
With my brother going regular and gambling a lot he gets rates not available on general release, we were going to stay at Harrahs at $69/night but just changed this weekend to The Flamingo as the pools are a lot better costing me $90/night there. their website says $237/night so I think he has got us a good deal. He usually stays at The Bellagio, he likes it there.

Just realised we are only staying at vegas for 3 nights not 4 now as we don't think it's going to be our cup of tea, we have never been in a casino in our life but it's a surprise for MIL's 60th, can't stay at bellagio, that's where the in laws are staying and don't want to risk bumping into them before the big surprise birthday meal where we turn up. Will let you know how i get on with prices for all hotels, thanks for the advice.:thumbsup2

Gotta luv vegas!! this is our fav place after Orlando. There is so much more than casino's.

You want to stay mid strip so you can easily walk both ways, we stayed at planet hollywood in May for $59 pn. The best mid strip places at a good price are flamingo, harrahs, planet hollywood, bally's.

Take a look at http://www.fatwallet.com/t/63/704925 you can usually get a really good discount code. We usually book and then closer to the date get a better deal and change to a better class hotel for around the same price.
