I know that we are in the minority but here goes....while Boma gets an "A" for atmosphere, our family gave it a "D" for food. The adults in our party were not "adventerous" eaters, and the kids were dissapointed with the old mac & cheese and dried out fries routine. If you like to try food that is different from the norm, you will probably love Boma. If you are like us, you will be very dissapointed.
I have a 3 and 6 year old and they love the ketchup restaurant i.e. whispering canyon. With all the games and tricks going on they laugh the entire time. Everytime they hear the word disney they immediately start talking about it.
Liberty Tree Tavern is family-style, and it has been awhile since we ate there, but I remember it as good. There have been several reviews of it lately (Dec. MVMCP!) and the general consensus is it is very good!!
For non-character, Boma has really great food, a bit loud but really great food. We also enjoyed the Biergarten in Germany and of course the near-unbeatable Akershus in Norway.
For character meals, we did not care for Park Fare; did not think to food up to par, tho the characters are good (no we did not taste them ). Best character buffet in our experience has been the Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends. Really first rate food, great atmosphere and good character contact. I undersatnd Liberty Tree is good too, but cannot speak from experience there.
