Where's the Beef?

Ok, the cheap stuff anyway. I have all these wonderful recipes for my crock pot and just realized when I arrived that none of the stores have reasonably cheap beef not even Walmart. I can't even find it . Someone has to know where I can get some beef. I'm looking for bottom round or even top round roasts. I'm staying off of 192 near Formosa gardens so please let me know if you know where the locals shop. I've been to the Publix a little west of here and the only roast they had was a 6lb eye round for $42.00!!!!!!Thanks

OT I know, but is that really true about us low carbers and the price of beef? All I know is that it has gone out of this world!

There is a Costco & BJ's in the general vicinity . I checked the Web sites and got the address for both at home I was planning on going there to stock up on water and food once we check into our 2 bedroom at OKW in 2 weeks. I know there is a Sam's close by as well but I never liked the meat from Sam's. As a former chef I can vouch for the quality of costco meat and they even do special cuts if I call ahead. BJ's is good to.

Costco has excellent meat. It is the only place where I will buy meat now.

I read an article last week regarding the craze of the Atkins diet and the demand it is putting on the meat industry - thus higher meat prices!
