Where's Steph?

I know it has been said many times, but this constant blaming of DB regulars for anything negative or controversial posted on this board is simply wrong. It is also hateful.

::yes:: I wasn't a DB regular, very rarely posted there, very rarely lurked there, but I very rarely post or lurk on other boards here too. I've seen more negative and controversial things posted by some supposedly "nice" people of the CB than I have DB regulars.

I hope Stephanie wasn't banned. I wish her well, regardless.

1. Whoever forwarded the post did a very rude, uncaring, mean spirited thing. Shame on you!!

2. I hope all is well for her and her daughter.

3. I don't think the DB had only "mean" people there... that was uncalled for. It was a 'rough' place, but just because it closed, that didn't make the CB any worse... (I rarley posted there, I'm not a good "debator", but I liked to read there as I learned alot.)

Ever since the DB closed, we displaced DB regulars have been insulted by blanket statements and generalizations over and over by people who claim to be 'nice' and only want the 'meanies' to go away.

This is so true PW!

Nine times out of ten, the very people who claim to be so "NICE" "INNOCENT" AND SACHARIN SWEET are the same people who stir up more HELL than Satan.

As far as Steph is concerned I do hope everything work out for Maddy. If someone did report her they were wrong for doing so, but in all honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it were someone she trusted. This type of person will grin in your face and have a knife in your back at the same time while claiming angel status:D

Just want to say that it's entirely possible that Steph's employer (i.e., Disney) read what Steph posted on the DIS without receiving an E-mail.

ITA...I work for a large company and we have people who read bulletin boards specifically for references to our company and our products. It's their job and when someone -- specifically an employee -- reveals specific information about their job or a product that should not and is not public knowledge, that employee will be spoken to.

It's pretty much standard policy in Corporate America now whether you realize it or not.

Just giving this a :bounce: :bounce: since I see a familiar name on the board that has been missing......;)

:wave2:

She isn't banned, because I saw her post to the thread posted by someone at WDW now.

But she didn't post anything like that, did she?

I just did a search and she's still using the boards! Am I the only one that checked?! I think it's funny that this thread was going and she was posting on others at the same time!
LOL!!

A few thoughts...

Steph is probably embarrassed by the attention that thread got and this one is creating. She probably wants to lay low for a while and take a break. I don't blame her.

Reporting someone on their AFTER HOURS activities is nuts, especially since it doesn't have anything to do with her day job. If she was spending her day at the computer DISing all day, on company time, then they'd have a valid concern.

Many of us don't know what each other does for a living-some people have that information out in the open. I feel sorry for those who have this info out there to have someone feel they should stir the pot.

Sorry folks, I think Steph should be given some breathing room. She's got enough on her plate right now without worrying about all the scrutiny and questions she may face on here. If and when she's ready to return, she will.

As far as the DB thing goes---I don't think the addition of DBers made the CB any more or less nasty than it can sometimes get. A thick skin is sometimes needed anywhere on the net where people congregate!

I was upset by a post a few weeks ago, but I pm'ed the person who wrote it and said why it upset me, instead of boring the whole of the DIS about it. The PM's are a great tool-use them.
(Just don't flood Steph's PM box right now, 'kay?)

Peace!

This thread was intended to check up on her, not to embarrass her or to bring unwanted attention. I will ask the moderators to lock it. Steph, sorry if this was a bad idea. I was worried about you.

I don't really see why this would bother Steph, afterall most of us were just wondering what happened to her and if she and Maddy were ok.
We were concerned about her not trying to embarass her. I don't see why that would be a bad thing......

Me either, but I was feeling bad just in case it did bother her, that is why I said I would report it.
