Where's Owl?

Just wondering - has anyone ever seen Owl from Winnie-the-Pooh at the Crystal Palace or out and about in the parks? I'd love to catch him sometime if he's out there... I'd love to get an autograph and have a picture taken with him because he's a teacher just like me!

I've never seen Owl anywhere in the parks. Or at the Crystal Palace. But that doesn't mean he isn't out there, somewhere. I've just never seen him. I don't even recall any Owl merchandise at the store they have at the exit of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride. But I can't say that I've been looking to hard for any either. Goodluck!

I have looked and looked for Owl.. I don't think he exists! There is VERY little merchandise (I collect Owls so I keep my eyes open!)

I keep my ears open all the time to what characters could exist, and I sadly never heard of Owl being out. Don't think they have an Owl. The only Pooh characters out meeting are Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and Rabbit. Kanga and Roo (Roo's in the pouch) also exist but if they did a meet or greet, it would be an incredibly rare thing.

Too bad Disney also doesn't have a Ludwig Von Drake, as he is a teacher (or more like professor), too!

don't feel bad......Tinerbell doesn't do a meet and greet either and she's my favorite! the best i get is to see her from atop the castle as she flys down! i did as a CM why she isn't around for pictures and autographs.....but that was on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and i don't want to offend anyone if i post info i got from the tour on here.

I am sure that they have Owl exist just like I am sure Flower exist. If anyone has the DisneyLand Walt Disney Treasure you will see that Flower in in an old parade. Also like 30 years ago Flower used to do pictures. I don't believe that Disney would just throw old stuff that they used away so to speak. I am sure they have Flower and Owl laying around somewhere but they just have not used it for years if you see what I mean.

From what I was told by someone who works with the characters when I was at Disney was this: Rabbit comes out a little bit but is kinda rare and Roo and Kanga and Owl pretty basically never come out. But this does not mean that they don't exist. I believe they have what it takes to bring Owl out if you know what I mean but they just have no plans to bring him out.

Hey look Thumper came out last year and that was a very rare thing. What do you think they did with that Thumper stuff after the promotion was over ? Do you think they just threw it out ? That would be a waste of money. I am sure they still have it laying around but maybe with no plans of using it again. But things could change. So just because a character does not come out that does not mean they don't exist.

Owl does exhist. I know he use to appear in parades on the Winnie the Pooh float that is still used in the Christmas and Halloween Parade. He was replaced by Rabbit on that float many years ago and I haven't heard of him being out since.

Ludwig Von Drake actually does exhist too. I know he made appearences at a special event at AK a few years back, but hasn't been seen since.

would you be willing to PM any information about Tinkerbell you found out. She is dd favorite character outside of Mickey himself.

How long ago?? Love to see a photo of him, too!

There's some photos of him in the Animal Kingdom Characters section of the WDWMAGIC Photo Album (The DIS won't let me post the link for some reason).

As far as Owl, I don't know of a photo. This was back in the late 80s/ early 90s. I wish I would have known that Owl would have become so scarce, because then I would have tried to get some photos. In all honesty, he didn't look very much like the Owl in the films. He also wore a professor cap. After all, he is a wise Owl. I also think he only did parades- not meet-and-greets. I doubt that he would be able to sign autographs with his wings.

WOW!! Thanks!!! - I just saw the photo of Ludwig Von Drake on wdwmagic. Jose and Panchito are there, too!!!!! I never knew Disney ever made a character of the Professor!!! I would guess that was a special event day when Animal Kingdom had those characters out, as I assume they haven't been seen in years! Well, I can only hope they dust these guys off and get them out again!
