"Where's My Butt?" -- Mother-Daughter Oct. 2015 TR *complete 2/2*

Love those early morning castle shots! And your Elsa shirt is fabulous.

BOG would be interesting for breakfast, but it does seem like a lot for breakfast that isn't a character meal.

e hadn't been able to ride earlier in the trip because the wait had been an hour or longer. For Pirates. Since when is that a thing?:confused3

Since FP+! I hate that it has made rides not conducive to FP have such long waits compared to before.

Early in the morning when it's slightly cloudy was the best time for pictures!
And I agree. FP+ has messed up a lot of the rides that you used to be able to wait 10-15 minutes in standby for. :(

Following along! We usually go to DL but will be at WDW in March. It will just be my DD14 and myself - she is my Disney buddy and the only one who totally understands me - we do annual Disney trips. Love it that you go with your mom!

How fun! Mother-Daughter trips are definitely some of my favorite memories :)

Day 5: "It's a shower after all!"
Part 3
Wow; it's been a while. I don't know about y'all, but ever since school started back, life has been crazy! But now, I'm ready to relive some Disney magic :) So, where were we?

Right. Mom and I had just ridden Under the Sea and taken some super cute PP pics. Then, it was time to head back to the front of the park. We had a lunch ADR to get to! When we got to Main Street we decided to walk through the Emporium to get some cool air, but we didn't make it very far before we had to walk back outside. There were just SO many people! Nothing like the crowd levels had predicted. But we soldiered on and made it to the monorail just as one pulled up to the station. :thumbsup2

Since we were starting at MK, we had a few stops before we reached Poly. I snapped this as we got close to the Contemporary.
IMG_0912.JPG
I was pretty proud of it; not going to lie:rolleyes1

We got to the Poly and checked in at Kona around 2:25pm. It wasn't too long before we were getting shown to our table. We ordered sticky wings and pot stickers to share. :cool1: Unfortunately, we didn't remember to take pictures of any of it:faint: But rest assured, it was really yummy!

While we were eating lunch, there was a family sitting at the table next to us. Suddenly, the little boy bursts out, singing at the top of his lungs, "IT'S A SHOWER AFTER ALL!"

. . .

Well, that's one interpretation I've never heard before:rotfl::rotfl:

After we ate, we headed out to the DTD bus stop to wait. About half an hour later we arrived in DTD.
Our first stop, of course, was World of Disney. Mom bought a shirt, but I decided not to get anything after all. From there, we went to TrenD, but I didn't really find anything there, either (I'm super picky about clothes if you can't tell:confused3).

In the time since we'd checked out at World of Disney, Mom had changed her mind about the shirt she bought. So we went BACK to World of Disney to return the shirt. Oh well. :confused3

We looked at the menus for EoS and WPE but were still too full to pick anything to bring back for dinner. So, we headed out to the bus stops. We stopped to take some pictures on the way out. :goodvibes

DOWNTOWN_ROVER3_7480952912a.jpg
Well, ONE picture...:rotfl2:

We got to AoA and wandered around the gift shop there for a minute before walking back over to Pop. When we got back to the room, we collapsed on our beds and watched Dancing with the Stars videos on Youtube. All I'm going to say is Gary Busey....:woohoo::rotfl:

After a while we walked down to the gift shop and saw the cutest shirts...so we did what any sane mother-daughter duo would do...we bought matching shirts! :thumbsup2 And I got my Simba pillow pet:simba:
When we went to check out, the CM at the register asked if we'd stayed at Pop last year. We told her that we had, and she said she'd recognized us! I was completely surprised, considering how many people she probably meets in a day. My guess was we stick out because of how much we look alike:rolleyes::laughing:

We refilled our mugs before heading back to the room. Our ME info had been dropped off, but it had the old flight information on it, so Mom had to call to fix it. Thankfully, it wasn't that much of a hassle and before long we both fell asleep.

Day 6: "We must just look cute or something."
Part 1
This is the story of how I died . . . of sadness that it was my last day in WDW. The last day is always the worst, what with the impending doom that is returning to the real world. But we were determined not to think about leaving and to cram as much magic into a 24-hr period as possible.

We were up around 8am this morning to take quick showers and...pack *shudders*. Once we were presentable enough, we walked down to the concierge desk to get the new transportation info print-out. Then, we walked into the FC for breakfast. We both ended up getting Pop waffles and bacon and sausage and strawberries.

IMG_0919a.jpg
It wasn't anything special, but it was pretty good. After we ate, we went back up to the room to finish getting ready. We packed up as much as we could and then walked down to the MK bus stop. We boarded a bus at 10:44am, which was a late start for us, but we weren't worried: EMH tonight!

We got to MK and fought the crowds to get back to Storybook Circus. There were way more people than Touring Plans had predicted (they predicted a 5; it was actually an 8), but we were determined to not let it bother us. We jumped in line at Pete's Silly Sideshow for the Great Goofini and Astounding Donaldo and were given the ominous red card.

After our M&Gs, we got in line on the other side for Minnie Magnifique and Madame Daisy Fortuna and were given the red card again! I looked at Mom and said, "We must just look cute or something.":rotfl:

From there we went to the FP kiosk to get our day-of passes. The CM didn't really ask if the times worked for us, just picked them and sent us on our way:confused3 We ended up with:

Buzz 12:10pm-1:10pm
It's a Small World 1:15pm-2:15pm
BTMRR 6:20pm-7:20pm

It was already time for our Buzz FPs, so we made our way to Tomorrowland. I was glad to see that Buzz is getting a refurb; hopefully that will fix some of the issues with the lasers.

MK_BUZZLIGHTYEARRIDE_7481332700.jpeg
Great picture, right?:laughing: I hate to say it, but I have no idea who won.:confused3

After our spin through the galaxy, we stopped at the Cool Ship for a water refill around 12:25pm. Then it was time for our 7DMT FPs!party:

You can sort of see my head behind that kid's hands #shortgirlproblems:cool:

After our trip through the mine, we walked over to the FP kiosk to see if we could change the 6:20pm BTMRR, but there wasn't anything earlier.:(

Then we went to one of our favorites: Mickey's Philharmagic! There were people packed into that theater like sardines, but we learned from the past and sat in the very front row so that we wouldn't be stuck behind someone's head.:thumbsup2

IMG_0922.JPG
Sigh. I always love seeing Donald's butt hanging out of the wall.:donald:

Day 6: "We must just look cute or something."
Part 2
Once the show was over, it was time to use our IaSW FPs. The entire ride, all I could think of was the little boy from yesterday!:rotfl2: Once our boats docked, we started toward Tomorrowland, stopping to grab a times guide from the Hundred Acre Woods shop. It was time for our Space Mtn. FPs!

MK_SPACEMOUNTAINA_7481461613.jpeg
Eh. I tried. Mom was not very helpful.

And, as had become tradition during this trip, we stopped at the photo booth for what would turn out to be the last time for this trip:sad:

PHOTOBOOTH_PBMKSPACE1_7481467647.jpeg
As I'm sure you, my faithful readers, have discovered, we are very very strange:laughing:

At this point we were ready for something cold to drink, so I got in line at the Lunching Pad while Mom waited at Auntie Gravity's. I got a carbonated blue raspberry icee, and Mom got an iced coffee float. Of course, we forgot to take pictures:scared1:
Taking our cold snacks with us, we started walking toward Frontierland. As we walked by the castle, we saw a little boy (and I mean little; like probably not even 2) pushing his own stroller . . .away from the castle . . .with no parent in sight. Uhhh..... So we did the natural thing, and started to follow him while simultaneously looking for a frantic parent. It wasn't long before we spotted his dad, running and looking around in a panic. Right about that time, the little boy's grandmother walks over and picks him up. The dad did not seem very happy with her:confused3

We continued on our way to Frontierland and staked out our spot for FoF in front of the Frontierland Mercantile . . . along with a hundred of our closest friends. I'm exaggerating of course, but there were a lot of people crammed onto that sidewalk.

I absolutely LOVE this parade. Like, probably an unhealthy amount. But it's just . . .just . . . magicalpixiedust: (Cheesy, I knoow, but I can't come up with a better word to describe it.)

Day 6: "We must just look cute or something."
Part 3
By this time, we were pretty hungry, so we walked over to Pecos Bill for a southwest salad.
IMG_0939.JPG
It was really yummy:D

From there, we headed over to BTMRR to use our first set of FPs:) We ended up riding in the very front row!! :cool1: Then, we went to see the Country Bear Jamboree and then went to a FP kiosk. We managed to get a MCoA FP for 4:55pm, which was like 3 minutes away. So we used them immediately. After our magical flight, we walked back over to the FP kiosk. Along the way, we saw a woman with a shopping bag stuffed into her shirt. I guess she just got tired of carrying it:rotfl:

We scheduled a Haunted Mansion FP for 5:15pm and began making our way toward Liberty Square. Not gonna lie; I had a mini anxiety attack from all the people pushing and shoving as we moved from the stretching room to the line. Surely there's a better way to do that??:confused3 After narrowly avoiding becoming the 1000th resident of the mansion, we went over to the Hall of Presidents.

And then, it was time for our second BTMRR FPs. This time, we were in the second-to-last row! I have decided that riding in the very back is the best:thumbsup2 It was SO much fun! (I mean, it always is, but...well, you know what I mean)

After the wildest ride in the wilderness, we went to the FP kiosk and booked Space for 7pm and buzz for 10pm. And then, we were hungry again:laughing:, so we walked over to the Friar's Nook for some loaded mac n cheese.

IMG_0940.JPG
Holy. Mackerel. This was so so so so yummy! Like, my mouth is watering now just thinking about it. popcorn::
We started off toward Tomorrowland, made a quick restroom stop, then hopped in the FP line for Space.
MK_SPACEMOUNTAINB_7481986391.jpeg Uh, if I remember correctly, we were going for a sort of Charlie's Angels kind of thing...we tried anyway:rotfl2:

We knew we needed to stake out a spot for MSEP/CtM/Wishes, so we started back toward the hub. We were not at all expecting the mass chaos that greeted us when we got there. We wandered around for a while, before finally sitting ourselves down in the middle of the street. Literally with hundreds of our closest friends. We knew we wouldn't be able to see much if any of MSEP, but all we really cared about was CtM and Wishes.

And it was a good thing too, because we saw essentially nothing of MSEP. But it was okay. And then, the CMs asked everyone to move forward and fill in all the available space. So, I ended up with a super tall guy in front of me. Every time I moved so that I could see the castle, so did he.

And I broke down. I was tired and claustrophobic, and I just gave into the anxiety and started crying. Not like full on bawling or anything, but it wasn't cute. And Mom was not happy with Mr. Tall Man in front of me and muttered (not very quietly) "I'm going to punch you in the throat."

Now you have to understand, Mom is not a violent person. But this guy was standing in front of her kid (me) and said kid (still me) was having an anxiety attack because all she wanted to do was watching the castle projection show! Wow, that sounds super dramatic:eek:

Mr. Tall Man apparently heard her, too, because he turned around and gave her a strange look. But he stopped moving. His mother, on the other hand, was not too happy. (keep in mind that Mr. Tall Man was in his twenties) She turned around, gave Mom the absolute worst death-glare she could come up with, but not even that phased my mom:wave2:

Thankfully, I was able to see Wishes and was even able to get some pretty good pictures.

Once Wishes was over, we stayed put for a minute to let the craziness subside before moving closer to the castle so we could watch the 10:35pm CtM.

Day 6: "We must just look cute or something."
Part 4
Hey y'all! I'm back, hopefully to finish this TR all today. Everyone stay safe in the storms over the next several days! Now, on with the show!

So, when I last left off, we were moving closer to the castle so we could actually see CtM this time. And I have to admit, actually getting to watch it put me in a much better mood.

Once the show was over, we made our way over to Tomorrowland as fast as humanly possible. We wanted to use our Buzz FP before going to get something to eat.

MK_BUZZLIGHTYEARRIDE_7481933192.jpeg

From there we walked over to Cosmic Ray's to get some food. I got a bacon cheeseburger, and Mom got a bacon deluxe chicken sandwich. We were so hungry, we forgot to take pictures.:o

Then it was on to Storybook Circus, and, more specifically, Dumbo. :dumbo: We moved from there to Mickey's Philharmagic for the last time. We made a quick stop at the Tangled bathrooms before heading over to BTMRR...our last ride of this Mother-Daughter adventure. The first time we were in the very back row, which was crazy fun, and then when hopped back in line for one last ride.

On our way back to the park entrance, we stopped on Main Street for one last castle picture.:sad1:
MK_MSBRCART_7485945569a.jpg

We wandered through the Emporium just to make sure there wasn't anything else I wanted (there wasn't and my wallet was thankful). When we stepped back out onto Main Street, the Kiss Goodnight had just started. This was actually the first time I'd ever seen this, and I absolutely adored it. It's just so peaceful :lovestruc

Before we left MK for the last time, we stopped for one final picture.
MK_TSHOLIDAY_7485944026a.jpg

As we walked out of the MK and to the bus stop, I was very much struggling to keep from crying. I don't know about y'all, but leave WDW is always really really hard. When we got to the Pop bus stop, it seemed like everyone who had been in the park was there. 2 buses came and went, and we weren't on either of them. We did finally get on the third bus. As we rode back to the resort, I was half asleep.

Until I heard the singing and clapping to YMCA. At 1:30am. While small children (myself not included ;) ) were asleep.:crazy2:

We arrived back at Pop at 1:40am and went almost straight to bed. After all, we had to be up again in a few hours.

"Did you feel that? You're on your way back to the real world."

My alarm went off at 4:30am, and I slept right through it. Like I didn't even flinch. Mom had to wake me up, so that I would turn it off. I got up, changed clothes, and finished packing. The room was pretty quiet, since we were both tired and kinda depressed. By 5am, I was lying back on my bed, trying not to fall asleep.

After double checking to make sure we had everything, we left our room for the last time at 5:30am. We rolled our suitcases over to the resort bag checked and got everything squared away there. We were at the DME bus stop by 5:43am, and our bus was scheduled to leave at 5:55am.

5:55am came and went without any sign of our bus. The bus finally arrived at 6:04am; we pulled out of the resort at 6:10am. Not gonna lie; there were a few tears shed.

As we drove under the arch, our driver came over the intercom and said, "Did you feel that? Your on your way back to the real world."

That was just cruel.

We arrived at MCO, and there really weren't very many people there. We stopped at Chickfila for a quick breakfast before moving onto security. Thankfully, there were no problems there. We sat down at the gate around 7:20am, but we still had a while before we boarded. Almost and hour and a half in fact.

We boarded at 8:45am and were landing again around 9:30am CT. We quickly found our luggage and went outside to meet Dad. About ten minutes later, we loaded up our stuff and started the drive for home.

Well, that's all I have for this TR. Why is it that finishing a TR is almost just as sad as the completion of an actual trip?? Anyways, thanks for reading! I should have a new PTR started soon: my cousin and I are taking a graduation trip!! :cool1::banana:

But that's all for now. As Mickey says, see ya real soon!:wave:

Thanks for sharing your trip! I really enjoyed reading along with your mother-daughter adventures!! Looking forward to the next one :)

I just read this straight through this morning, and loved your report! It's wonderful you and your mom got to have so much fun just the two of you.

That was fun to read! I had similar experience with a tall guy standing in front of me during the parade except I was four and my mom told the guy that she didn't bring her children to Disney to look at his fat a**. She just told me about this story. I'm not surprised. My mom is very blunt.
