Hi

Where are the cheapest places for breakfast in WDW?

Last year we stayed offsite, and went to sizzler/ponderosa everyday for around $3.99.

This year, we staying for the first time onsite, at AKL.

I've looked up the breakfast buffet at the hotel and it seems to be in the region of $17:eek: ! When we go to universal etc, we will eat on i drive but we won't have a car so we have no choice but to eat the rest of the time onsite and i begrudge spending that amount on breakfast. Is it just that particular restaurant that is so expensive. Would we be better off eating at the park we are going to for that day? I would be quite happy to go to the early entry park, do all the rides i wanted to, and have a late breakfast/early lunch at around 11/11.30 before we switch to a less busy park, but my B/f is a big eater and would not settle for that.

Any ideas where would be the cheapest places onsite to eat breakfast?

Thanks:)

Other than counter services, where the portions arent huge, the cheapest buffet is at Fort Wilderness Trails end Restaurant.

Korbs,
The Mara(at AKL) offers reasonably priced breakfast items.
It is a food-court type of eatery. They have a wide range of breakfast items. I would purchase the items and take them back to our room while the kids were getting ready. That way it did not cut into our theme park time.

The cheapest breakfast place in WDW is in your hotel room, LOL. Really, we have done Disney a couple of ways:

1. Have a big late breakfast (10:30am or so) and then another meal around 4 or 5. That way you're still just doing two big meals. You can always snack inbetween times if you need to

2. Eat something in your room before you leave, and have lunch at a regular time, and then dinner later.

We can't stomach spending so much on 3 big meals, so we work this out to be cheaper. One of those "big meals" can still be a counter service to save money and time, too. Even counter service at a theme park is expensive compared to eating out at home.

There are lots of things you can bring to your room for breakfast if you aren't looking for a hot big breakfast each day, and instead just somethng small. We even keep a small cooler in our room that we can keep small bottle of juice and milk in, cream cheese, etc. I am not a breakfast person, so a bagel is good for me for a long time... I know some people really need a substantial breakfast, so you may want to invest in doing a brunch as a big meal each day, but try out a counter service instead of buffet for it...

Good luck!

I agree with aimeedyan. I would also liked to add that some hotel foodcourts have microwaves and toaster. You could always bring pop tarts, oatmeal, (that kind of stuff from home) for a quick breakfast. You could even try bringing a big box of cereal and then just buy milk at the food court at breakfast time. I have heard that buying milk and other beverages are much cheaper at the gift shop store that sell sundries at each resort, but it may also be a waste if you do not have any place to store it afterwards. Hope that helps.

Character buffet breakast are the most expensice. There are other ways. We love the Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness and for less that 10.00 it can't be beat. We too often have a light snack in the room and do an early lunch. Breakfast in the room can be as light or as heavy as you like. Sandwiches are are good in room breakfast with a cooler to keep meat and cheese cold. WE are happy with ceral- milk- fuit stuff. If you like the breakfast foods but cringe at the cost. Consider a snack in the room and "brunch " at the latest breakfast setting time. No need for lunch!!!
