Where would you stay?

We're going to WDW for 2 weeks in Feb/March and staying at POR, we're then going to Mexico for a week, and when we come back from Mexico we've got another night to spend somewhere between flights.

I think we get in around 4-5pm in the afternoon, then our departing flight is around 7am the following morning.

Would you just stay at a hotel near the airport, and if so which one, or would you head into downtown Orlando for the night? And if so where?

TIA :goodvibes

there's a hotel IN the airport? What's it called?

Yes, I forget who runs it. It is nice.

A little known secret is airport hotels. They are great when you have an early flight. Go to the airport the evening before, get up and your already there.

Check the airport web site for more info.

Definitely just stay at the airport.
You can check hotwire.com. Probably get a decent hotel with shuttle for a good price for one night.

I think the hotel inside MCO is Hyatt Regency. It's pricey. We stayed at Comfort Suites ($88) on McCoy road, which was very nice. Smoke free. Comfortable beds. Good hot breakfast. Free shuttle 24 hrs/day.

Coming home we got La Quinta Airport North ($45) through Hotwire. (I'm waiting for my $20 rebate from Hotwire) It was a dump. The shuttle starts at 5am. Just make sure you sign up the night before for the shuttle.
