I have actualy heard pretty good things about that specific Motel 6 - supposedly that is one of the better ones out there, and it is clean and tidy, etc.

I have heard a few not-so-good things about Quality Inn, i.e., bugs, not clean, etc. I am sure every hotel/motel has its off days (or off rooms, maybe!), so possibly QI is not bad all the time. But I do know that I have read and heard more than once that Motel 6 is quite satisfactory - even from non-DIS'ers I know who happened to stay there.

If you are talking about the motel 6 Anaheim Maingate that's a good one. It used to be a red roof inn so there's a pool and jacuzzi and I've heard the rooms are larger than your average motel 6 and they have fridges and microwaves. But the latest reviews have been pretty bad-- seems it is being managed poorly. It has to be either of these? I've heard great things about Anaheim Plaza and it's very afffordable and within walking distance. Also there's a Travelodge on Ball that we almost booked our last trip that's getting great reviews and very affordable. You can walk. What you do is walk to Mickey and Friends parking sructure and trake the tram. If you are halfway intelligent however. Some don't find their way....The Travelodge has a pool, jacuzzi, and a decent continental breakfast.

These prices are 4th of July weekend! Of course I'll keep an eye on HoJo's ~ and yes it is the M6 that was the Red Roof Inn. We stayed @ the AP last Sept. and I'd stay there again, I'll watch their rates as well.

I realized after I posted-- what your dates were ;-)

We've used the Motel6 the last 2 years.....during all the renovations of the motel......it was clean, roomy & we had absolutely no problems here. It is quite a lengthy walk (especially after a long day at the parks) or you can get the ART bus passes & take advantage of riding them to & from the park.
You can't beat the price & we've always been treated great!!

When I go in March it will be my third time staying there. I have never had any problems what so ever with the hotel, rooms, cleanliness and the management. I have been treated very well every time Ive been there, we usually get the family pass on ART and the busses are clean and are always there within minutes of what the schedule says....One time the jacuzzi was down but they gave us passes to use the hotel next doors hot tub which was only across the parking lot. I thought that was very nice of them! As long as I keep getting GREAT rates from them (more $$$ for the fun stuff), I wont stay anywhere else...
