Where would you grab lunch?

If our flight is on time, we should arrive at the Paradise Pier Hotel at about 12:00 noon on Friday 11/25 (the day after Thanksgiving). We want to drop our bags, have a quick lunch and get right into DCA via the Grand Californian.

I was thinking PCH Grill in the PPH or White Water Snacks for lunch. I've never been to either. Just want something easy, fast and convenient. I don't want to go into DTD because we want to use the Grand entrance into DCA.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

While we don't have complaints about the food we've eaten at PCH Grill, we have never had what I would describe as fast service. I am not a fan of Whitewater Snacks, but many on these boards are and that place may best meet your three criteria.

WWS or just go into CA and eat at Taste Pilots. :)

Sounds like most agree, we usually hit Taste Pilots but go to WWS when we are in the room.

Our first stop is In and Out Burger.... right past the airport!!!! We pick up our rental car and head to IN and Out Burger, grab some waters and snacks at the store and then check into our hotel!!!

If you are taking the shuttle, we like ww snacks fine though they are not that fast. My family would skip eating and head straight into DCA and then get a corn dog or turkey leg there!

Usually by lunch time they don't check receipts or keys to use the Grand Cal entrance to CA so you wouldn't necessarily be excluded from eating in DTD. At least it was that way on Veterans Day where we used the entrance after eating at Naples. I suppose it could be different on a busy weekend like Thanksgiving, however.

I agree with the plan of grabbing in n out on the way and eating in the car if you really want to save time and get into the parks ASAP.

If it an option I would eat on the way to the resort because it will be 11:30 and not noon and save some time.

If not WWS or TPG would be my suggestions as well.

I agree WWS or TPG. Depending on how hungry you are you can grab a chimichange or Hot dog/ Corndog while walking around.

Are you saying you are going to cross the street and walk through the GC? because I think I'd walk through DTD to the GC and stop at the Taqueria at Tortilla Jo's.

If you ARE crossing the street and going through the GC, then yes, Taste Pilots.

We like the nachos from WWS, with that said, I would rather have lunch inside CA than in either hotel.

Well, obviously I'm in the minority here but I hugely dislike both WWS and TPG! :scared1:

I do like the redone eating area in DCA that is over across from the old Orange Stinger. It's cafeteria style and there are several sections so you can get just about anything a family member might like, all in the same place--pizza, sandwich, pasta, burger, salad, Asian, etc. It's fast, too.

I also like the eating places over by the pier/wharf/whatever it's called. They have a little hub of restaurants, but the wait can be longer than the place I mentioned first.

Have fun!
