Mother's Day? I know it is a little early, but we will arrive in WDW on May 8, 2005, Mother's Day. It will be me, DH, and DSs 7,5 &2. We will be in Orlando by noon and are spending our first 3 days at SOG before switching to AKL for last three days. Based on this info, where would you suggest we have Mother's Day dinner? Keep in mind..
1. Needs to be kid friendly :D
2. We will be in MK area and have a car
3. Have AP's so we can go into parks
4. Don't want Boma or Jiko, since we will be going there a few days later.

I was thinking maybe CRT. I don't know if my boys will be into it at all. Although, it is mother's day, so it should be all about me. :teeth: How is the dinner there?

Please help and thanks.

Either the Mother's Day meal at the Flower & Garden Festival, or the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues. :D

I think it depends on how the mother is! Is she a big kid herself or does she really like nice restaurants? I know almost all of the restaurants on Disney Property are kid friendly menu wise. What are you looking for? Something fancy? Something fun? I think you could go anywhere from a character dinner to a nice dinner at Shulas or Narcoosees.

I think all will like the Royal Table! They are very good about making a fuss about the little princes and giving due honor to the queens of the table..especially so on Mother's Day. I don't think you could pick a better place....we've only had lunches here but it's always been more than good.
I think your mother and you might enjoy the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian (the boys might like it, too) but if you want a nice outing with mom alone...you can't go wrong there!

Thanks everyone! What is the Mother's Day meal at the Flower and Garden festival? I might be interested in that. I am the "mom" in this case. My DH and sons (7,5, &2) will be treating me to a fabulous dinner. :p

At least I have some time to think about it.

Thanks again.

There is usually a Mother's Day brunch on Sat. & Sun. (Mother's Day), at Epcot, during the Flower & Garden festival. We haven't been, but every year I tell DH that someday we're going over to try it. :p Sorry, I don't know a link for you. Hopefully, someone who has been will come along with more info. :wave2:

i don't think brunch would help the op since she is arriving at noon and is looking for dinner suggs... but now i'm wanting to check out the flower and garden festival (and brunch!) but wahhhh i won't be there then!!

I feel the Garden Grill at Epcot would be a good choice with the kids. It's served family-style, so not as much work for mom as a buffet might be. When we went on Mom's day a few years ago they included a family photo with admission. The Flower & Garden fest is always beautiful & the concerts can be great fun.
