Where would you go for $10,000

My family and I love to travel so it seems I'm always thinking about a vacation.
One of the places I want to see is the Grand canyon. while trolling the net I've run across white water rafting vacations in the Grand Canyon. Problem is they run ~2500 per person (not including air) for 7 days. that's 10K for my family of 4.

Then I got to dreaming... If I had 10K to spend on a vacation where would I go. sort of like a bucket list.

I've done the Grand Canyon trip. It is utterly amazing. If you're spending 10K on a trip, I wouldn't say that's the worst way to do it.

However, I'd probably go to either Italy, Australia, or back to Ireland.

Austrailia, New Zealand and or Thailand, Japan... the ones with the most expensive airfare from here!

Would love to go back to Greece though and see Eygpt.

Bora Bora - one of those cabanas over the water where you can see the rays swim under you at night. WITHOUT THE KIDS!! Just DH and me!

Italy or Fiji.

Alaska is without a doubt the prettiest place I've ever been so whoever is spending money there is doing it right. And I've been to Hawaii, England, Scotland, and Wales. Although Scotland does come a close second. I loved Alaska and want to go back. I've been 5 times already though.

I'd spend an entire summer in Italy. Taking every bit of the life in. Not looking to do the touristy things, but actually set up in one place near the Amalfi Coast and live as their people do. Have a small garden, walk to town, meet the people and just live that life for a little while. I think it would be quite an experience.

I have already been alot of places. I would choose the Maldives that each island is its own resort. Just gorgeous. The flight times from here are a killer though.
