Hi everyone!

I'm sure that someone has asked this before, but I can't find anything like it, so forgive me if this has been done before.:goodvibes

My sister and I are taking my Mom for her 60th birthday to WDW in September. The last few trips I've only gone with my family, which consists of young children. I am looking for some nice TS meals that I probably missed the last couple of trips. If you were going for 5 days...where would you recommend eating for TS? And CS? I'm hoping you'll give me you top 5 suggestions! But, any help is appreciated!!:goodvibes

Thanks in advance!!:thumbsup2
Kristen

CS

Cosmic Rays at MK
Flametree BBQ at AK
Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT
Tangierine Cafe at WS EPCOT

Hope this helps. :goodvibes

You did not say if you were doing dining plan or not. So I will only pick dining plan options although I think the best food is at places that are not on the dining plan. Also, not sure where you are staying as some of these will require you to travel to them.

Table Services (not in order of preference):
1. Ca Grill (great view of MK and eclectic menu)
2. Jiko (very interesting assortment of appetizers, beautiful hotel and restaurant
3. GF Afternoon Tea (definitely for an All Girl meal!!!
4. Flying Fish (great fish/seafood and it's on the Boardwalk so it's a nice stroll along with the dinner).
5. Artist Point (unusual menu and visiting Wilderness Lodge is worth the trip). I do not like the decor of the restaurant itself but the lodge is gorgeous.

Jiko and FF would tie as my favs from above.

Counter Services (not in order of preference):
1. Tangierine Cafe in Morocco at Epcot
2. Flame Tree BBQ at AK
3. Columbia Harbor House at MK
4. Sunshine Seasons at Epcot

Places not on the dining plan that are EXCELLENT: Victoria & Alberts, Bistro de Paris, bluezoo, Il Mulino.

Thank you VERY much for your lists!!!! I guess I should tell you, I am on the dining plan, 1 snack, 1 CS, 1 TS daily for 5 days and we're staying at POP, since most of the time we'll be out and about. I appreciate your input!!!!!:goodvibes

Ok, if on regular dining plan, I'm going to throw out some 1TS places that I like since all of the ones on my list take 2TS credits which means you'll be short on TS credits to use one per day.

1. Coral Reef. I really like this one for the earlist seating possible for lunch before the crowds/noise picks up. It's very pretty in there and they have a decent menu but it gets oh so noisy. I've never found it bad when we eat at 11:30 or so.

2. Le Cellier. This is a steakhouse at Epcot that is the MOST popular restaurant in all of WDW. It's also good value on the dining plan.

3. Marrakesh in Morocco. I didn't think I would like this food as I'm kind of leery of spices I do not know but I loved it.

4. Teppen Edo in Japan. Hibachi style cooking at the table.

5. 50's Prime Time Cafe in DHS. Your mom would probably like the decor, straight from the 50's. I'm just a few years younger than your Mom.

6. Either Boma or Tusker House buffet. Both have great variety and some interesting items. The Tusker breakfast is the only character meal/buffet that I would do if it were just adults in my party.

Sorry to list so many but I take my food very seriously.

WOW, thank you SO much!!! :goodvibes I really appreciate all of your suggestions! I want to make it nice for my Mom and we like to try new foods, so this is great. Thanks again for helping me make my Moms birthday extra special!!!!:cutie:

Hi Lynn!!!
Thanks for your ideas!!! Trying to plan meals without kids, this should be fun!!!!:goodvibes I may actually finish a meal. LOL!!:rotfl:

Hey there! My mom is 55 and her favorites were:

Jiko
Ohana
Coral Reef
Chefs de France

And, as a PP said - 50's PTC is an option. HOWEVER, my dad LOVED that idea but when I showed my mom pictures of the restaurant she thought it was depressing LOL!

I'm sure your mom will have fun wherever you decide to go! (Just don't take her to Whispering Canyon!) Have fun!!

Tony's
Wave
50'S Prime Time
Boma
Epcot- Teppen Edo, Coral Reef, Tutto

If I were planning 5 one credit meals...

Yak & Yeti -AK
Kona Cafe - POLY
Teppan Edo - E
Marakesh - E

CS
Seasons - E
Pizzafari - AK
WP Express - DD
Columbia Harbor House - MK

I know a lot of them are at Epcot but that is why we go with a hopper...they just have the best places to eat with the best DDP value!
