I'll be at Disney on my birthday, Sept 21st, with my best friend. No kids, no husbands! Where would you pick to have your birthday lunch/dinner? OOP, no dining plan this trip since staying at OKW on DVC points. LeCellier would be my pick, but not sure about being at Epcot that day since EMH that morning. Any suggestions? :confused3

Yachtsman. Big, thick, juicy steak!!! Yummmm!

Coincidentally, that's where I'll be eating on MY birthday this year... ;)

If we were going to be at Epcot, LeCellier would be my choice. My second choice would be Fulton's at Downtown Disney (Fulton's is cheaper at lunch then dinner).

I would, however, start looking and see what is available as that is free dining and a lot of the more popular restaurants (LeCellier) are probably already booked.

Well, I am having dinner at Akershus :cloud9: for my birthday this year, but outside of Epcot, either Jiko or California Grill :thumbsup2

Jiko!

You could spend the day there too. Check out the resort. Even make a late spa reservation there. Have a drink. I'm lovin' the idea.

Happy birthday!

I think the best places are those not available on the dining plan:

Bistro de Paris, bluezoo and Il Mulino (all in the Epcot area).

Or I'd go to DTD to either Fulton's or Wolfgang Pucks The Dining Room.

We just ate at California Grill Thursday for my birthday - Wonderful!!!! :goodvibes

Some great ideas, guys! The other option (since my friend is treating me) is to go to MNSSHP one night. We will only be there from Sun night thru Fri morning. MK is closing at 7pm on Tues and Thurs nights of our trip for MNSSHP. Should we try to go?

DH and I are trying this for the first time on our trip (Saturday, September 18). I'm told it is "not to be missed."

For my boyfriend's 30th in January, we had dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Nothing makes him happier on his birthday than a big steak and a glass of Scotch. We had an excellent meal there, but I think he'd have chosen Shula's in hindsight. They've got even better cuts there.

As for me, we usually go to my home state and visit Disneyland for my birthday, but if I were in Disney World, I'd pick Jiko for dinner. I love their appetizers, wine selection and that delicious filet with red wine reduction. I also think that Jellyrolls is an after-hours birthday must.

My BFF and I went to MNSSHP last year. We had the best time. It was so much fun. The parade was awesome and we got a great picture with Snow White and all 7 dwarfs. I would totally go with the party. Happy Birthday.
