Sorry, I am trying to pin you guys down thus the one choice. Pick your favorite please.

All things being equal, I'd still pick SSR.

I prefer the separate bungalo style resort because it feels more private and has better parking. I also like to have something nearby I can (st)roll to and not wear down my powerchair batteries.

Now if Disney had built something like that in walking distance to the parks, I'd go there.

Oh and if I have any desire to go into the pool I absolutely need a zero entry. I believe that cuts me out of everything but SSR & AKV.

As for room configurations of resorts, we basically have the same layout in all but OKW, VB & AKV. I have no desire in owning offsite as I have other better timeshares for that. AKV is still a giant question mark until we see those room layouts. I don't really prefer one interior design more than another. Well ok, VWL looks a bit too dark for my taste.

Quite honestly, after visiting WDW for the first time, staying at SSR, and touring the other DVC resorts including AKL (except BWV because we ran out of time), if everything was equal, I still don't know which one we'd buy. We were hoping after seeing everything with our own eyes, it would make the decision easier for us, but we're just as confused/torn as ever!:confused3

I KNOW FOR A FACT WE'LL BUY GRAND CALIFORNIAN VILLAS.....if it is built.

But as far as the WDW DVC resorts, we actually really liked all of them.

It's hard to choose what's most important (location...point structure...theme/decor...ease of transportation...room size...amenities like pool, spa, beach, child care, community hall, arcade).

Can't decide, so I haven't voted yet.:goodvibes

I voted for.......aw, what the heck. You guys know what I voted for! :cool1:

Stormalong Bay also has a "zero entry" entry. The only difference is that it is a sand bottom entry...VERY nice on the feet!!

We would also do exactly as we have done....BCV!!

Big surprise, huh!!!;)

While this can be a 'fun' poll, I hope no one tries to do any fancy statistical analysis and come up with some 'facts' about anything.

I say that because not everyone is even familiar with every DVC resort there is. Someone who just purchased at SSR a year ago, and has stayed there only once, and nowhere else, would have a difficult time to make a decision on where they would buy today, all things being equal. How does one compare a resort they've actually stayed at with one that perhaps they've never even seen?

If you restricted the poll so only those who have actually stayed at each and every resort could answer, you would probably get a totally different 'picture'. Of course that picture would have no more real meaning than this one.

Nevertheless, after all is said, I would still purchase OKW simply because of the size of the units, full kitchens, including an icemaker in the refergerator (not an apartment size kitchen (and plastic ice cube trays!)), full washer/dryer in a real laundry room (not stackables in a closet), and so on.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that only in the kiddie pool and at most a couple feet deep? Not really for an adult with a disability. That's why they have the bump steps in the deeper pool.

You see, if you equalize everything, number of rooms, prices, age of buildings, point charts, contract length...all this poll becomes is the same old tired "What's your favorite DVC resort?" discussion.

Agreed - the fine print is just re-phrased. :rolleyes1
