Where would a 16 month old not be "wanted"

Most children are well-behaved...its just that we don't notice them. Its the screamers that get our attention.

No WDW restaurant should be considered off-limits to a child who is well-behaved.

dennis99ss is right about not testing children while at WDW, though. If they haven't already proven they can be well-behaved at dinner, nice resturants are not the place to expect it to happen. That doesn't mean the child has to be silent and still the whole time, but in control enough that they aren't going to disturb other guests.

If your child hasn't already shown they can handle quieter dinners, then the lists provided by ducklite and others are places you might want to avoid.

I CAN tell you where to go... I was there with a 20month old and 3 year old in march

Crystal Palace for Pooh lunch---Great food (even PB & j) for both kids and adults and alot to keep them occupied. We were there for both Pooh parades and my kids loved it. Plus is was a nice break out of the heat(yes, it was 90!)

Mexico outside for lunch..kids loved watching the ducks and boats.

Garden Grill for dinner---do it early( we did 5pm reservation) and you won't have to wait and get lots of character interaction. The food is family style and they even have adult drinks.

We stayed at CBR and used the food court for a few lunches and one pizza dinner--it was easy and my little one loved feeding(yes feeding ) the birds.

oh yeah--definately Rain forest cafe at animal kingdom. You need to do a PS_-but when it was overbooked and busy our server was perfect and came to our table with extra snacks to keep our young ones occupied.. Plus it is loud anyway.

have a blast!!!

Well behaved children - no problem....I do, however have a small issue posting that....

Most parents are pretty realistic when it comes to their kids. "Oh, I'd never take mine there" they say, and mumble under their breath "food thrower, tried everything to break him of it, he'll have to outgrow it, he's only 16 months after all." Or, "Mine is too hyper" or "too prone to tantrums." Or, they say "mine are pretty well behaved and can sit for an hour or two with a book." And they can!

But some parents (and I've met a few) think their darling precious wittle angels (who the rest of the world sees as the first sign of the Apocolypse) have no realistic view of their kids behavior. We have a daycare parent like this - her child is perfect (never mind all the other parents know him as the #1 instigator of trouble, and the daycare teachers are on the verge of expelling him - the system is set against him). She's the type to take a monster into CG, let him be a monster, and ignore the behavior.
