More money than you “want” to spend…. oh,man…. I don’t know if there is a cap on how much I “want” to spend…

True. But we're a single income family. And I am notoriously "cheap."

This is very very true. I think this is partially why we have been going to WDW more. I have never been able to justify buying Magic Key, but the WDW pass is so much cheaper and now that we have it we don't pay more each time we go. Our flight for our trip in August is on a budget airline and was $90 per person round trip. When the budget airline isn't an option since I used multiple new credit cards to buy my direct purchases and racked up over 1 million miles, so now I use those to cover other flights like to Aulani. But there is still food costs, I try to keep costs down by not eating as much table service and I work very hard at my gift card collecting to help cover costs for food and dues, I average a steady 15% savings. For me, it's not just the cost of DVC we have to look at (or even the dues, which add up, of course.) It's the overall cost of trips. If we have more points, we'd need to travel more to use them. Airfare, park tickets, kenneling our dog, hotels and gas if we drive...it all adds up fast! Even every 6 months might end up being more money than we want to spend. Time will tell, I guess.
Truth. The airfare, food, park tickets, etc. are $$$$.
Yes I think that and use points for annual passes!Answer: Bigger Accommodations
I know you wont believe me but same, same.

I really really wish they had a better Magic Key discount for DVC. The sorcerer pass has been amazing for us.Park tickets is one of the worst. (Though airfare is getting bad too!) Even if we go every 6 months, we'd alternate between DL and WDW so an annual pass wouldn't even make sense at that point. So just multi-day tickets. It's a lot, even just for 3 people.
Oh, man…. I LOVE the TB outlet store….I know you wont believe me but same, same.
I save a lot being cheap. @AstroBlasters Tommy Bahamas are too rich for my blood.
I do own a Disney Dooney and I am still shocked to this day that I actually plopped down money for it.
Ugh that is too bad no direct SNA flight. Long Beach is another option I found easier than SNA. I told DH let's move to Florida! Then I visited in late May and have since changed my mind.I told my husband that some day, it would be nice to live with a 1-2 day drive of Disneyland. Or with a direct flight to SNA.But then that makes us farther from WDW.
I see a nice button up for my husband at the parks.. walk closer.. oh man of course its Tommy Bahama sorry my guy no shirt for you.Oh, man…. I LOVE the TB outlet store….

The special DVC-Y 3-day passes are a pretty darn good deal… we just usually always have to go over a weekend.I really really wish they had a better Magic Key discount for DVC. The sorcerer pass has been amazing for us.
Yeah the no weekends makes it a no for us. Unless I go without my husband. The special DVC-Y 3-day passes are a pretty darn good deal… we just usually always have to go over a weekend.

That's a really good deal that I forgot about. It's cheaper even than 3-day anniversary tickets they are selling currently.Just 3, it’s part of the Membership Magic Beyond.

Same! I am sitting pretty with a little over 500 now and thinking that I'm pretty much maxed out on my annual dues. It's still a lot less expensive than buying a nice vacation home and all the costs with keeping it up.I wish I could own 1000 points but the dues per year seem scary to me!
The dues are alot. Although a large % of my points are subsidized dues so that helps immensely. I collect cards throughout the year so when it come time to pay it hurts less.I wish I could own 1000 points but the dues per year seem scary to me! I'm already feeling a bit queasy with our 170 point add on coming (hopefully) soon. I do the same and try to save 5 to 15% on DGC to pay the dues. Last year giftcards.com had an amazing sale on their own gift cards which could be used to purchase discounted DGCs and I got cashback on swagbucks.com as well! It netted me almost 22% off! I wish I had bought a few 1000 more lol.
