I will also never hit 1000 points!
Sitting at 360 total right now. Might add another 75-150. But that would be our stopping point.

Unless we suddenly become super wealthy.....
50 here, 50 there. All of the sudden you are in the comma club!

My problem is that my family is getting tired of going 🤣

Oh no! Time to ditch the family, I guess. Pretty sure that's grounds for divorce. 🤣

We are finding we wish we could go more often. It will be almost 1 year between our last WDW trip by the time we get to Disneyland in December.

And it will be around 18 months between our last Disneyland trip and this December one.

We find by the 6 month mark, we're ready to go back. Maybe once our son is out of school in 7-10 years, we'll be able to go more often. But we don't like to pull him out of school for more than 1 trip a year. And we do want to take some non-Disney trips too. So that really just leave 1 vacation in the summer and 1 vacation during the school year.

I've booked a lot of short-ish trips since we joined. It's so fun and easy to book and getting an AP made it even more fun!

I just need to go less frequently and get larger villas for a while and I think they'll come back around :)

I think 3-4 times per year would be a sweet spot for me. Some of which could be by myself for runDisney trips or something.

I promise I am not super wealthy or even anywhere close to rich. Like TX said here and there you collect them and suddenly you are at 1000. I can say if I thought I wouldn't be able to sell them if needed I would not have been able to spend the money on it. While I know DVC isn't an investment I looked at it like my home somewhat.. I can sell if those funds were needed since we don't have a lot of excess funds sitting around. While not a "nest egg" I decided it is kind of ours.

For me, it's not just the cost of DVC we have to look at (or even the dues, which add up, of course.) It's the overall cost of trips. If we have more points, we'd need to travel more to use them. Airfare, park tickets, kenneling our dog, hotels and gas if we drive...it all adds up fast! Even every 6 months might end up being more money than we want to spend. Time will tell, I guess.

Truth. The airfare, food, park tickets, etc. are $$$$.

More money than you “want” to spend…. oh,man…. I don’t know if there is a cap on how much I “want” to spend…
