Thank goodness everything was clear after the investigation!

I leave on October 17th!!! The investigation has just begun :scared1:But we have plenty of documentation that we did everything we could and it should be fine. The true guilty party is the insurance companies that make doctors go though all sorts of cheaper tests before allowing one that would have found the problem in the begining :(

Rosie, so sorry to hear about the guy with the disc. I hate insurance companies

It's a gal , but I agree with insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies !!! With the symptoms she had an MRI should have been allowed way sooner !!!

Rosie, I am so sorry to hear about all this. I hate having to deal with insurance companies, no matter what it is. :sad2:

Weeks like this one I don't know either !!:confused3One of my guys had an mRI and it showed a fractured dic and a ruptured one !!:sad:This a Reportable incident, there has to be an investigation, to be sure there was noabuse or neglect !!!!:sad:I spent 2 hours copying documents, but the good thing was it was clear we had been following up and informing everyone including her doctors . This profession is monitored VERY closely, and it is not necessarily a bad thing but it sure is a lot of work !! Today I was on the phone for hours with this

i:

Oh My Rosie! This sounds like a terrible headache. Plus, I have never known a medical problem like this to be abuse or neglect. That makes all the investigation that much more painful.

I am sure your Disney trip can't come soon enough.

I hope you have an awesome time!

Hope she is doing okay now, Rosie.

Wonder if the new Affordable Health Care will change the way insurance companies handle these sort of things - hope so! No one should have to go through aggravation to get proper medical tests! :sad2:

It is just wrong that insurance companies dictate what medical treatment you can receive !!!:scared1:

Just heard from Mary the TA she is linking all thegroup to my Disney expereince and I can try to get FP+ for us all !!

I have been trying to get FP+ for the group!! What I don't know is how you get them after you have selected . Are they stored at the ride or what??

From what I've read Rosie you just scan your Magic Band on a reader at the ride and it lets you on. I'm not sure how easy your guys will find that though :confused3

Rosie, just read some blogs abnd came across this and immediately thought of you:

http://blog.touringplans.com/2013/10/05/walt-disney-world-guide-guests-cognitive-disabilities/

There are two links to documents in that blog post and I think they might be helpful to you, especially the one that explains how the DAS system is going to work!

Also on the question of the bands: As far as I know you can turn them down and just have a Key To The World Card just as before with the only difference that the new cards have a chip inside instead of the magnetic strip. So you would touch the card to the poles at the entry instead of the band. Same for when you get in the FP line: Instead of touching your band to a pole there (which then will tell the CM on a screen whether you do have a valid FP+) you just touch everyone's KTTW card. I think for your group that might make things easier... Just don't pre-order the Magic Bands and at check in tell them that you don't want them (from reports that I have read you might have to be firm about it as they seem to try to push them on people). Supposedly there will be some additional features connected with the bands (like the characters knowing yout first name as they get it from your band), but so far none of this is active. Everything you can do with a band at the moment you also can do with a KTTW card.

Jo the cards aren't to easy for them, they don't remember which finger to use :rotfl2: and as for the rooms only a few have any idea how to open the doors ;):rolleyes1:rotfl2:So possibly the bands would be easuer as it looks like a Mickey head you touch and that they could remember !!!

Gonna read the Blog , I think I could order them but I am nervous about how close it is to our dates !!

Rosie, even with the bands, they still will need to use a finger for park entry.

Also: I would recommend ordering the bands if you want them. Then you can asign different colours and they will have the first name printed inside. Otherwise they will be all grey and just have a number to identify them.

On teh FP+: Once you made the reservation the FP+ is in Disney's system. When your FP window comes along, you go to the entrance of the FP line. Instead of showing your FP ticket, everyone touches their band/card to the Mickey head and the CM verifies that you do indeed have a FP+, they let you into the line. Then at the point where in the past they collected your FP ticket, you touch again and that is then where you redeem your FP+, so after that you can't reuse it. You will not get any piece of paper which states which FP+ you have. There might be a way to print it out from the website and I am sure that guest services can print it out for you as well, but you will need to keep track of which FP+ you reserved. There are also kiosks in the park where you can cahnge your FP+ during the day if you decided that you rather want to use it for something else.

Thank you for all your help !I just called the T and she is ordering the wristbands, Pat is working on the FP+ for me , a my attempts were sad !!:rotfl2:So once we figure out , hoe the regular FP works with the band , we will be working with our DAS, FP+ and regular FP so should be able to do most of what we want !!!
