Where will my luggage be??

Arriving at 7:30 am and checking into CSR and heading to rope drop at MK. Soooo when we get back to the room late in the evening, will we have to retrieve our luggage from the check in people or will they take it to our room when it is ready if we request that??

I assume we will get a call or text when the room is ready and the KTTW card will be activated to use with our room, correct?

So funny...I was going to ask same the question. We arrive at 10am and want to head right to the parks. At some point in the evening we have to head back to resort to get our stuff.

We've always used Magical Express. Our luggage is in our room when we return.

We've had no problem using our KTTW card to enter the parks/use dining credits while waiting for our room.

We are driving so not on the Magical Express. Will have luggage in hand at check in.

I usually arrive that early and leave my carry-ons with valet because my room is rarely ready. You can ask them to bring your bags to your room when it is available, or grab them from valet when you make your way back to hotel.

They will call or text you once your room is available with the room number. As soon as you get this message, your key will be able to open that room. Until that point your KTTW still works to enter the parks, make room charges, and have your dining plan.

Thanks, exactly what I wanted to hear. How do you tip them as we will not be there when they bring the luggage?

Except when we have used Magical Express they have never been willing to bring the luggage until we are in the room.

Good to know....wonder how long it will take to get the luggage once we call them. I know about the delay with ME. Just do not want to arrive back at the room at bedtime for the little one and have to wait too long. Guess we can grab them ourselves if we need too. Thanks!

Since you are driving, why not just leave the luggage in the car until you go to your room that night, then unload them yourself. That way you'll have your luggage as soon as you need it.

If you are not using Magical Express you should call down when you want your luggage brought up to you. They will not deliver it to your room unless you are there. Also, a tip of a dollar or two for each bag is customary.

If you use Magical Express they will deliver your bags to your room without your being there. I'm not sure what is going on with the poster who said they refused to do so. That is not right and beyond strange.

To me it seemed that poster ( I am assuming you are referring to Sammie) meant that unless one is arriving on ME, the valet do not deliver bags to an empty room. Basically the same as you have said above - if self-driving you need to call once you are inside the room or collect yourself from the valet in the foyer.

I am fine with getting our own luggage but we are at CSR which is a new resort to us and I know it is VERY large and was not sure where our car will be in relation to where our room is. I think we will leave it at luggage storage at check in and depending on our room location, will try to just grab it when we return from the parks. thanks everyone.

There is parking near every building all around the resort.

great...glad to know that is also a good choice. We plan to make it an early night at MK and be back to the resort fairly early but you never know!

Ok. I think I was reading it differently, as in they were the exception to the rule and for some strange reason DME wouldn't deliver their bags. Makes more sense now.
