Yes i am still here. I have not had a chance to catch up on Anyone's reports! Thanksgiving sure snuck up on me!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving? Our was good. I hate turkey. I truly believe the bird comes from the 7 layers of hell. Suzi can contest to what that bird looked like from my facebook. From what everyone told me it was very good. I cannot eat turkey i cook, but i can eat it is i don't! knucklehead...

i should have said that everyone is healthy and good. I was caught by quite a shock.. BUT i am of course taking care of everything and should be back up and rolling as soon as the holidays are over. HOPEFULLY!!! In feb i will know what is going on.

Our lottery is at a ridicules amount of 500 million.. i will greatly take 1/3 of it please...
PCH dot com is becoming my favorite i also started my photography site to start selling pictures.. So we will see what happens. I have to have hope trust and dreams... right?!

I really love you guys and thank you SO VERY much for caring! i am truly blessed with great people on the dis. again i am sorry i bluntly posted about the trip without much else! yes surprises are fun right Suzi?!?!

I will absolutely be stalking all of you, your reports and live vicariously threw all your trip reports.
i will try to keep this alive and upbeat and keep everyone on their toes..

I got a bit lazy in my sewing room last week - if I would have spent less time on the computer - I think I could have finished it. Part of the reason I got lazy is that I decided at the last minute to change the interior fabric - so I had to order it. It's enroute to my house as I type... Should be here in a few days.

I did get sick. stupid people come to work sick and spread germs. ugh.
I have finally come to realize that i will not be making the trip in Sept 2013... BUT i am going in 2014 i figured i can do it the week of their birthday and i can still get the kids prices v/s paying for them as adults?!?!
I heard Disney gift cards have NO expiration dates?? this is good news.

as i was writing this the Deputy calls me into his office. wants ME to coordinate the office Christmas party... Damn this man is CHEAP!!! he is a new Deputy the men here are very into food and are VERY gracious in spending money on it. so i did get a quote for a great place around here (by where the sox play) for 7.50 a person! that's a great price! he is cutting the guest list!!! the boys are not going to like this... and guess who is the one who is going to hear all the complaining!!! ugh..
sorry had to rant that one...

Things are very much the same here. i am getting things back in order. i will know a lot more in February.

But...

I am ready to get to work on getting this house ready to sell... No matter what we do to it - unless we doze it - it will never be functional the way we'd like. The unfortunate part is that we purchased at the tippy-top of the market, and we will never ever see what we paid or any of the work we've put into it. But I am ready to have a much nicer house for the price of this one.

If that is the case... Disney may be on hold indefinately. Which is very sad. Also, it will probably take us about 4 years to get this house ready to sell anyways...

Sorry for the rant and taking over... I am in one of those moods.

2014 i WILL be in Disney. I will be turning 40 and the kids 10. these are big birthdays!!!

Hello there. I am just chiming in. Didn't finish reading all the posts yet, but as someone who drove down from Chicago area just this past summer, thought I could answer some questions for you if you are interested.
I found the nicest area to stop for a night was Chattanooga, TN. It's about half-way (or a bit more). We stayed at a very nice Fairfield Inn at the base of Lookout Mntn. Very pretty. And there is a Wal-Mart just across the street where we picked up our water and supplies for snacks/breakfast foods for our trip. I am in the process of a TR from this vacation and that portion is done if you are interested.

In 2010 (Dec) we also drove down. DH and I shared the drive and had no plans to stop anywhere-just figured we'd drive until we couldn't any more. We actually made it all the way, but we were very tired that first day. (thankfully nothing planned other than to hang out at the resort). With 3 young ones, I highly recommend a stop half-way to recharge.

We left TN after breakfast (9:30 or so) and were still at our resort by 6pm.

We stayed at Poly this summer. LOVED IT!! Have done Beach Club (and would highly reccommend this as well for 3 eight year olds)-walking distance to DHS and Epcot!!! Also, PORiverside, Coronado Springs, CBR, AKL, WL, and did a tour of many resorts this summer. AofA looked fantastic, and food court looked good as well. But I think, for the money, I'd stay at a Deluxe rather than spend it there. Especially if you spend some time at your resort to enjoy it. If you are going only to enjoy the parks, stay at POP with your friends (save the money) and just walk on across the bridge to check out AofA.
