On the way to a big interview with BMW, I pulled off onto an exit where the hospital and doctor's offices are. I went to the Women's Clinic and took the pregnancy test. It came out positive, and I just went on to the interview, but I barely made it through that!

The worst part of it, is that the Women's Clinic had all these abortion protesters outside, so my nerves were shot by the time I got done with it all!

HelenePA if you were born before 81 at least then your Mum would have found out the same way. Blood tests, or tests done at the pharmacy or lab were the way to find out. You had to wait until you were a couple of weeks late or it would come out negative. That's what happened with my first. It came back negative so the Dr. figured that I wasn't getting morning sickness it was something to do with my gall bladder (?). I refused to take any medication until another test was done. I had to wait another 2 weeks to take another test and then a couple of days for the Dr to call. I got this frantic call telling me not to take the medicine, that I was pregnant and the medication could harm the baby. I changed Dr's right away, really happy that I had not filled the prescription.

Yep she would have found out the same way as you! I'm a last day of 78 baby! Wonder how she took the news lol

Got pregnant at HOME
Found out I was pregnant at Work - got a phone call from the doctor that said "I don't know if this is good news or not" (I guess they had a lot of bad calls that day? but for us it was GOOD NEWS!

Second child
Pregnant ??Not sure.

Found out - in my best friend's bathroom at her house.

Third child
Pregnant- At Home
Found out - at Disney!! I had a "hey I'm late" moment. A trip to the walmart in Kissimee and a trip to the bathroom at the hotel- PREGNANT! (I didn't want to ride MIssion SPace if I was)

Fourth child

Pregnant- definately AT HOME

Found out- At home

HelenePA I had a New Years Eve baby in 77.

Got pregnant = Oct. 19 at home, in my bedroom
Found out = Nov. 1 at home, in my bathroom w/a home pregnancy test

We were doing the charting of temps and all that, so I knew exactly when I conceived. I think the ovulation predictor tests from that month were still lined up on the back of the toilet.

I got knocked up at the ex's house.

Found out at a regular routine visit to my gyno when I was about 20 wks apparently....man was that a shocker.
