...the planes crashed into the building and where did you here about that attacks. With the first plane I was on the bus. The second plane I was in Geometry. I didnt know about it until someone came in and said that there was a plane that crahsed into the building. And then I saw the second plane crash into it. Once class started my teacher shut off the tv and didnt let us watch anymore of it because he wanted us to do math.

I was in Spanish through both of them but didn't know it at the time

didn't hear about it until like right before we were leaving Spanish...it was kinda weird

yeah...in our classes we would do our work for theday then turn the tv on and watch was going on

Well I was in biology and then algebra when it happened, but i didn't find out anything until lunch at 10:00, when my friends said that a teacher came into their spanish class and said that the Pentagon had been bombed or something. No one was really sure what was going on, but they had all of the tv's in the school turned on to news stations. I didnt really find out what happened until my study hall though, and I was there when they announced that the 4th plane had crashed in PA.

I was in school.
We found out that there was a serious terrorist attack at the World Trade Center at 10:30 at All School Meeting.
That was all they told us.
Slowly during 4th period it came out about the planes but I didn't know how bad it was until I got home.
Our school really didn't tell us anything. Only some teachers would answer our questions.

My school wasn't starting for another week, so I was at home asleep. (That day I was supposed to go to the mall with my best friend and our moms) My mom woke me up and just briefly told me what happened. I was still half asleep so I asked if we were still going to the mall that day, I don't even remember her answer. I went online because that's where I get all my news from. I remember the AOL welcome screen had nothing on it but the attacks. After seeing that I remember thinking "Holy .... this must be big." I read article after article in just total shock and disbelief. Since I had just woken up minutes I earlier I was still completely out of it. It was all unreal

I was in school .. During homeroom, our principal came on over the loud speaker and asked teachers to hold their students in class - that they didn't have enough telephones for all of the students to call their parents about the plane crash in NY. We figured it was a small plane that had crashed in like a field - nothing big. But as we walked out of class .. We heard more and more about what happened. When we stepped into second period, we immediately turned on the television .. and moments later, we all saw the plane hit the second tower. I don't even remember if we did any work that period, or just watched tv .. And throughout the day, we just watched television. Many teachers still taught - but not for more than 15 minutes. I think all afternoon activities were cancelled, so instead of going to practice, I went home .. I'm not even sure if I watched tv when I got home - every news station showed video footage of what happened earlier that day .. so I think I went online and was talking to some friends - every other IM was "omg" or "I can't believe this happened" ..

I was in my photography class. I was able to see the first building collapse from the window. Then they evacuated my school cuz someone called in a bomb threat. Took me an hour to walk home cuz the streets were crazy. No one knew what was goin on. Then I just spent the rest of the day glued to cnn.I was suprised to smell and see dust and ash from a whole borough away.Too many things were goin on that day I'll write more later.

I was in English for the 1st one and On my way to Chorus for the second one, but I had no idea what happened until 6th period and even then, I really didnt know too much.

I was in studyhall and our principal made an announcement about it and then we put on the tv. This was when the first plane hit and even though I was way in the back and we all saw when the second plane hit too. I don't think anybody in school did any work that day, not even the teachers. We had the tv on in every class watching to see what was going on.

:smooth:

i was at school. i went to child development where we listenedto it on the radio and then we turned on the tv and watched it i saw the second plane go into the building. after that class i heard nothing more about it. my school basically banned any teacher from taking time out of class to watch it or listen to it. we were supposed to go on with class and what we were learning. not once did my school ever actually acknowledge we had been attacked. i had one teacher(french) who told us we would not talk about it because we had heard things off the news which were always exaggerated! so none of us knew much till we got home. my twin brother didn't know anything till i told him as much as i knew. and he didn't learn anymore till he got home.

I was on the bus going to school when i heard it on the radio. At first i didn't believe it, but then everyone on the bus just sat there shocked from the news. Thats when i heard about the 1st plane and the crash at the pentagon. Then when i was in my 1st per. class which was history we watched the 2nd plane crash and the towers fall. It just all happened so fast that the whole day went kind of like a blur.

I was in english when the planes hit..but I didnt know what had happend. My ss teacher just told us that something had happend but he didnt tell us what. I guess he was afraid too or something. After SS my friend told me what had happened. I remember a lot of parents taking their kids out early and the teachers knew about everything but didnt tell us. I heard rumors that like Times Square got bombed and other crazy things like that. I didnt see how bad it was until I got home and turned on the TV.

I really don't remember where I was at the time. All I remember was my Lit teacher coming into math class and checking her email cus her computer wasnt working. She read what had happened and started crying. Later on in the day about half our students left. We were all scared to death. AT lunch our principle announced what had happned. "A plane has BUMPED into the World Trade Center." That was it. BUMPED? What kind of an idiot says that. Both buildings had already collapsed and all she said was bumped. I the only person left in my class who knew what the world trade center was and where it was. Everyone else thought it was in Florida. *Stupid Florida education!* Later on, when we got back to homeroom, our teacher told us what really happened. We were still freaked out. My entire family lives in New York. I had no clue where they were. A friend of mine's mom was staying at the world trade center, but she was out at the time. Also, her friend's dad was one of the pilots. I will never forget where I was on September 11th, and all of the people who helped me get over the traumitizing events....

Dude Wick that must have been crazy...

I was in Geometry when our teacher got a call from the office and asked any of us if we had any parents flying out of Boston. As it turned out, the pilot's daughter of the first plane that crashed into the WTC went to my school and lived a few houses away from me.....

I was really in gym when it happened, but I didnt find out totally until 5th per. While walking to 4th per (spanish), we were hearing rumors that a plane had hit the WTC. Me & my friends joked 'how can a plane not see the towers on a bright sunny day?' In spanish , my teacher said nothing of it soI forgot about it. Then we went to 5th. I was in an advance spanish and the rest of the kids in my 5th per class had been in geography watching the whole thing, so when I walked into 5th per (around 10) everyone was sitting and staring at the TV. The teacher told us as calmly as she could that a plane had hit each of the towers, one was already collapsed and a plane had hit the pentagon, I was just completey shocked. I fell into my chair and imediatley began to worry about my father. Being so close to NYC, my dad worked there. I had no idea how far or how close his building was compared to the WTC. I didnt find out until I got home @ 2 that my dad didnt even go to work b/c he had had a sinus headache in the morning and didnt start off for work until 9, and by then 1 plane had hit, and when he heard that a second one hit on his car radio, he turned around and came home. At home, my mom told me that my uncle worked in the towers, but made it out alive. I didnt even register to me @ school that he had worked there. My mom lost a childhood friend in the towers, and my father lost a classmate from the NAVY at the pentagon.
In my school, after like noon time, they announced on the PA that only history teachers could watch, but my teachers felt like we should watch it, so from 5th to 8th, I watched all the news coverage.

I was in History when I heard. Someone in my class had come in late that day, and he said "did u know that the Pentagon was bombed?" and our teacher was like "I didn't want to tell them yet" but then our principal came over the loud speaker like 5 min later and explained what had happened. then after class my mom came to see me (she works at my school) and she told me some more about it. The rest of the day we spent watching the news and on the computer. that nite the news was shocking, I still remember the images of the little children dancing in the streets....................

well lets see where can i begin.
umm oh yea one of my good friends brought in their radio to school and they were listening to it during my italian class. she looked really upset and looked like she was going to cry. after the class ended we had our next class together so i walked with her asking her what she she was crying about. and then she told me how one of the twin towers were hit. that whole day was just a mess. no one went did work in there classes they were just siting right next to each other hope that our parents ( the one who were working in the city0 that they were alright. it was pretty sad because a lot of students were being called to the office they were being called down if they parent who worked in the city were ok or if they died. i remember how one of my friends were called down and were told how on of the familys good friends were killed. it was very depressing. now my father work in the city at the time so i really did not want to be called down to the office and be told bad news. but during 6th period i was called down to the office. i was told that my mother was on the phone and she wanted to talk to me. when they tld me that my heart nust have went up to my neck and i must have been all ready to cry but thank god it was my mother telling me that my father was ok but he is stuck in the city and scince he takes the train to work he will be walking. back. it was the most terrifing moment of my life but i thank god every day that my father was ok nut yet i felt suck sorrow for my friends and all the other people who were not as lucky as i was.

I was at work. My grandmother called and told me to turn on the television in the conference room. I went in with my pilot boss and we watch a "instant replay" and then they said that they saw another plan close to the building and we watched a live feed as the second plane flew into the towers. I was frozen. Then a friend of mine called and asked what was going on because she was at work and due to the thing they work with there were no televisions or radios. I told her and right after that I got a call from another friend asking for some help b/c her sister was in New York and had a big meeting in the towers. Then my aunt called and said she just wanted to tell us that she loved us b/c she has never been so scared in her life. That wasn't very comforting at all.

My betea club was at a nursing home singing and distributing cookies to the old folks... kinda scary...... The organizer of the trip was standing in front of a tv with her arms covering the tv !!!
