Let's see what I can remember. . .

Day 1: We had the breakfast buffet at the World Center Marriot where we had spent the first night. A great buffet but not worth a special trip off property.

Lunch: Backlot express (?) at MGM. I had a chicken salad that was ok. I loved that one of the kids meals was grilled chicken with fresh veggies and ranch dressing and apple sauce. $30 for 4 (2 adults 2 kids) wouldn;t go back.

Dinner: The fast food chinese at EPCOT. I'd say slightly better than mall chinese food. Big portions, $35 for 4 people.

Day 2:
Breakfast in room (hooray for fridges at AKL)

Lunch: Flame tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom. This was probably my favorite counter service meal. The portions were HUGE ! I especially liked the seating area, we sat next to the little pond which was really relaxing although I was AMAZED how many people (grown-uos!) were hand feeding the ducks bread.

Dinner: Biergarten at EPCOT. I thought the food was just ok but my kids LOVED LOVED LOVED the oompah band. They did the polka, the chicken dance. . . We had a 6:30 PS and were seated around 7, I think it was especially crowded because it was one of the cheaper places for the CP package. My son did like the salmon a lot and MIL thought they were the best desserts of the trip. I'm not sure if I'd go back.

Day 3:
Breakfast in room

Lunch: Counter service in Japan. Very good food and beautiful surroundings. I had the curry beef, which I liked a lot and my kids liked the kids teriyaki meals.

Dinner: BOMA, which is my all time favorite WDW restaurant. It was Sunday, so it was the luck-of the draw menu and it wasn;t my favorite one. Still the food was excellent, especially of cource, those chocolate mousse cups. My kids each had to try 3 new thing before moving to the kids pod, and my son's favorite was the kalamta olive hummus.

Day 4:

Princess breakfast at the castle which was the highlight of our trip. My son LOVED the food (had a full second plate) and my daughter just ate a little fruit and a blueberry muffin before being engrossed in the Princessses. DH & I though the food was fine, service was very good and of course the experience of eating in the castle, divine. We saw Cinderella, snow white, belle, sleeping beauty, mary poppins and fairy godmother. I thought we had plenty of time with each character.

Lunch: Cosmic Rays. I guess I was disappointerd here because I didn;t want to get in 3 lines so we all had to have the same thing (burgers) This is the place where I finally lost it . . .if you're in line 20 minutes and there are only 3 things on the menu, how do you NOT KNOW what you want when you get there?

Dinner: 'ohanas. Although our PS was for 7:10, the CM suggested we watch the fireworks from the beach and come afterwards. We did and were seated right away. I was hesitant to go back to ohanas because we loved it so much and I'd read it had gone downhill. It's hard to juge (I was pretty full by then) The first round of steak was so rare it left a pool of blood on my plate (and I like my meat pink) and the second round was well done. But the string beans were delish, as was the pineapple. The service was excellent and my kids liked the entertainment.

There you have it. Hope that helps someone !

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I'm glad that you had such a great time. :D

Ahhh...the classic question I find myself asking many times per trip...glad to know I'm not the only one!!

Some of us can't read the menu from far back! :earboy2: But, that's not an excuse. I usually squeeze as close to the front as I can get (between lines, I don't get in front of anyone) and read the menu to see what I want, and THEN go get in line! :D

Actually, my MIL was the worst offender ! At Flame Tree BBQ however she was having a really awful time deciding what to order. She kept saying "I don't know" Turns out she was standing in front if the Spanish menu. I think she was embarassed to say she couldn't read the menu because she didn't realize WHY she couldn't read it.

The guy in front of me at Cosmic Ray's couldn't decide between coke and diet coke. I guess I'm such a hard-core diet coke junkie that I never have a hard time deciding on soda.

Enjoyed your reviews.

Your observation about the line at Cosmic Ray's made me LOL!
