Where was the Purple Cat?

DS and I tried to find it last week, but didn't see it. Where was it?

We saw it on Monday (12/8) up in a tree on the far end near Lights, Motors, Action. I think they might move it around??? I could have sworn I hear someone say it was in a different location a week prior? Not positive though.

Sounds like the same place it was on 11/29 when we were there. That is definitely the second place for it this year.

It is way up high above the basketball net with the hidden mickey's.

That is definitely moved then from 11/29. Sounds like it is moving about once a week.

Purple cat is a Halloween decoration that was mixed in with the Osborne lights when they were shipped. Disney hides it in the Osborne lights at Hollywood Studios. It's fun to try and find.

we asked the crew and they said that they move him on Mondays to keep people looking . First week he was behind the phone booth with the snowman up San Francisco street. 2nd week he was by the basketball hoop. Last week he was up a tree

Funny story, I kind of got a little excited when I found it (couldn't believe I found it so fast) and then I took a picture. A family sitting on the curb nearby came over and said I was about the 5th person they'd seen freak out and take a picture of the cat and they couldn't understand why. It was fun explaining it to them....she thought people just really liked cats

Still in the tree on Tuesday 12/9. Add me to the list of people having a fit and embarrassed my husband when I found it! Yeah people that don't know about it looked at me funny when I started jumping around with a big stupid grin on my face.

Back in 2012, I found him hidden in the walkway between Streets of America and Muppets. I got excited and took a picture and realized that to those who didn't know, I probably looked like a complete idiot taking a picture of a wall in a small walkway. Oh well.

Stories like this are why I love the DIS so much!
I have been driving my in-laws crazy because DD7 and I like to find Hidden Mickeys and little things like this and they don't 'get' it... can't wait for them to be confused about this, too!!!

Ah, so they do move him. I figured they must be. Because when we went shortly after the lights opened he was in a different spot than when my parents went to the CM service party on 11/20. When I saw him, he was at ground level, behind the sleigh full of reindeer.

I also had to do the "explaining" to why I was trying to dodge people lined up for a Photopass picture at the end of Streets of America to take my own picture of something.
