Where was the fast pass?

Was it me, or did it seem like lots of CL_'s were riding?

Do they get preffered treatment? Fast passes? What is the CL ratio?

When I ride I always click on the people around me and there always seemed to be a CL or two on the ride.

I dont mind? Just really curious.

There are many CL's in the game... i saw a lot and they were just riding the ride like you were. CL's are just players that have an extra rank up. I saw , i think babs, riding one of the Red rides with us.

there are many CL_ players in vmk you just have to look. no matter where i go in vmk i usually see at least one of them. so i do not think they got "special treatment". it was just a time that there were a few there with you. and also welcome to the DIS BOARDS!!!!

Personally, i have no clue what a cl is. But i have seen quite a few of them. Once i went into a room and i was the only one who was not a CL!!

No, the CL's didn't get any special treatment. But some CL's do. Which really isn't fair..

CL's stand for Community Leaders. We are players who help others around the kingdom. We did not receive "special treatment" and never have in events or games. We are just there to make sure you have fun!

Community Leaders are people who are really into VMK. So it makes sense that they would be really into participating in the ride-a-thon. So you might see a higher percentage of them participating than the average vmkers.

at one time when I was riding= Yavn, Babs, and two others with green ears were riding through all the rides (I didn't click on them- and only Yavn and Babs spoke lol)- and someone asked if they waited in lines- and they said that because of how their accounts are set they don't wait in the same lines we do- so that they can help when needed- BUT that no one can do that other than staff with green ears...

I ran into Yavn most of the days- I guess he needed some ice and snow rugs or something- just like the rest of us

But as far as CL's go- there are lots of CL's out there- and the names probably stand out more in your memory because of the CL too-

Also like a previous poster mentioned- they are usually more "up" on what is going on in VMK so they are more likely to participate in the events.

I am also a CL. I didn't get any fastpasses, I had to click to get in room, be told the line was too long, try again, get in a line of sometimes 49 people, crash, etc just like everyone else.

I've been a community leader since August. I have never received any special treatment from staff. Ever. I do, however receive a lot of random friend requests and trade windows from people who honestly believe I have an "in" with staff. I know, because I've asked quite a few why they want to be my friend without knowing anything about me and they responded with saying they wanted to meet more CL's and staff. Thanks...
Are there some CL's who received "special treatment" on VMK? Oh, I'm sure there are. However they are the MINORITY! The majority of community leaders have the same connection issues as everyone else. We have to try to enter a queue the same as you do, random chance. We crash just as often as a non-cl, including mid-trade for staff prizes. There are many prizes I've won and never received because of disconnections.
Sorry about the lengthy response. The "special treatment" is a sore spot with me. I do get tired of defending my cl status. I'm no different than any other player, except I keep up to date by reading the VMK newsletter as soon as it's released. Something most other players do not bother with.
Ratio of cl to non-cl? That you would have to save as an "Ask A Staff" question. I, for one, have more non-cl players as my friends than non-cl players have.
I really hope I've cleared this up a bit. I also hope you pass this information along to your friends. Community Leaders only have a CL_ attached to their screen names and a little blue Sorcerer hat badge on thier virtual lanyards. Nothing else.

I'm not a community leader. I don't want to be a community leader.
Do I get all sorts of random friend requests? Yes. I can imagine that
my friend requests would be higher if I were a CL.

Not to mention the random trade window popups. Most of us get those,
but I can imagine community leaders get tons of kids who think CL's can
give out prizes like the official staff members can.

They can't. Community Leaders have the thankless job of being nice to
EVERYONE in the game. Me? I get mean and ornery. I have moments
when I'll answer questions, but sometimes I tell players (the ones that
seem like begging kids) to give it a rest. Since I don't want to be nice
all the time, I don't want to be a leader.

I have something to add about friend requests, but I think that deserves
its own topic.

About the CL special treatment, I wouldn't mind if those who helped did get special treatment. If you went out of your way, and spent your own time helping to build this online community into something better, I hope you get something rewarding for it. If it was within my ability to give, I would.

As for CL's, just very curious about them. See them all the time, they play the best pirate games!!! And are always the best to the kids!!!

Now we got work on a way to get those FAST PASS machines for the next events!!!

I disagree with anyone getting special treatment over another, but I do think we need more CL's helping out around the Kingdom. But, hey...That's not my call.
