Where was that magical customer service?!?!!

OK ... we just got home this afternoon. We arrived early Sat morning and checked out Thurs morning. I'll report on various aspects of the trip, but I have to say I didn't feel anything in terms of customer service. One waiter even commented on not giving us a 'free' meal for our 2 y.o. since we were eating free anyway. (That was not true since we booked and paid for our vacation well before the free dining plan offering, but, knowing what I know now, I'd never go back during that time period!)

Anyway, we did Bibbiddi Bobbiddi Boutique and had fun, as well as JoJo/ Little Einsteins breakfast. I'll post this weekend.

I hope the rest of your trip was wonderful. We, too, had huge customer service issues. I was in guest relations several times, and by the final day, I was ANGRY~

My anger was somewhat diffused by a CM named Amy in MK's guest relations. She at least tried, and was polite.

We are going to WDW during free dining and I wish a CM would make that sort of comment to me. Whether or not you got free dining is no concern of theirs. Their job is to bring you the food. It's not like your taking money out of their pocket by getting free dining.

We are paying rack rate for rooms, do you really think we're eating free.

I'm sorry that you experienced less than great customer service during your trip but I'm not sure I understand this statement. Whether you are on free dining or not (paid), under 3 eats free off adult plates and at buffets/family style. They don't get a meal ordered off the menu for free. Maybe I'm misunderstanding this but did you try to order a separate meal for your 2yo and got this statement, or did you ask for a plate for them to share w/ you and got this?

If it's the former, then they were correct (although why free dining should mean anything is irrelevant since it's the same policy for any dining at all). If it's the latter, then I would have been complaining to the manager.

Yeah, they always ask if you are the plan...and now want to see the cards.
Why do they do this? So your kids can't order adult items and have to stick with the chicken tenders,hamburger,mac and cheese.
After three days it is getting old for DD age 8. We had to pay full price OOP for adult meal for her(at Chefs d France)...anywho, we use her credit at a character meal and all is good.
