My DH and I will be in WDW March 2011. This is just one of my many questions, where to watch the fireworks? TIA

Which fireworks? Wishes at MK or Illuminations at Epcot? We usally line up somewhere around the castle hub to watch Wishes and I like to either be in Canada for Illuminations or on the right side of the American Gardens Theater to watch Illuninations.

We did the Wishes dessert party and we sat under the terrace next to the rose garden!

We watched wishes one night from right outside Poohs ride. You could not see it all but being in fantasyland during it was really cool. The bursts from the rootops was really neat from that location.

One place you should not watch them is in the area you see them hosing down prior to the fireworks :) lol. We asked why the area was so wet as we were walking toward the exit of the park and were told by the CM's that were cleaning the water up that the places that they wet prior to the fireworks are the most likely places that the fireworks will come down to the ground level. That was not very comforting and we were glad that we were not in that area for the fireworks.

We did somthing a little different for the MK fireworks!

Last Thanksgiving, my DW and I had dinner at the Grand Foridian, asked for 2 plastic cups and took the 1 /2 bottle of wine to the GF beach. We *borrowed* 2 pool towels, sat on the beach, watched the fire:cool1:works as we finished the wine..It was rather nice.

AKK:thumbsup2

Watch "Wishes" from the hub on Main St if you want to see the full effect of the show and the color changing on the castle. Anywhere in that circle, over by Crystal Palace, over by the entry to TomorrowLand should be a good site as long as you have a clear line of vision. Last week we watched from FantasyLand, which was AMAZING, as the firecrackers go off literally over your head! You feel like you are in the middle of the show! We also watched them from the 15th floor observation deck of the Contemporary as we had an adr at California Grill.

In Epcot, we often watch Illuminations from Germany, Italy, or Japan. Once again, just make sure you have a clear line of view. We never stake out seats early; it's pretty easy to find a spot to see Illuminations. Last week we watched from the deck outside of TEppan Edo as we'd just finished dinner as the show was starting.
