Where to watch the daytime parades?

Hello! Does anyone have advice about where to watch the daytime parades at any of the Disney theme parks? We would prefer a place where there is shade (and seating is a plus, too!).

We don't mind making lunch reservations to coincide with our parade watching, if a restaurant has a patio or balcony.

Also, tips for evening parades are helpful, too.

I will have my two year old daughter with me, and I cannot hold her long enough so that she can see the parade. Any tips?

I enjoy the MGM parade from the ledge (you can sit on it) in front of the Hall of Fame area, near Sounds Dangerous. http://mgmstudios.org/academy.html

I enjoy the area near the Safari ride for the AK parade. Also, across from the ITTBAB entry area.

For MK, I like the area in front of Libert Tree Tavern. Or, up top of the train station.

Enjoy.

For MGM we sat on some benches across the street from the Drew Carey sound thing (not sure of the name). My DS, 1 at the time and napping, sat there for quite a while and my DH and DD played at the Honey...playground. It was great becasue no one came and sat in front of us or anything. People filled in the spaces between the benches eventually, but that was it. And...it was shady!

At MK we also like to watch near Liberty Tree Tavern. Just make sure you arrive early and get the stroller up at the "line". That way your little one will have a good view. We try to avoid Main Street, which is usually much more crowded.
