Help! We leave tomorrow and I still haven't figured out where in the park is a good vantage point to see Sorcery in the Sky at MGM. Can anybody tell me a good spot?
I didn't think they were still doing this since they started Fantasmic. On our trips there in 2000 and 2001 Sorcery in the Sky was not running. I saw it in 1997 and thought it was great but Fantasmic may be the best show at WDW (although I still love Illuminations)
They have Sorcery on holidays like NYE & 4th of July. It's on the schedule for Friday night at 9:00pm. I only saw it once and we stood right in front of the Chinese Theater. The only problem is the big hat is in the way now, so I would stand to the right of it. If they still have the big Mickey at the end, it came out on the right side of the theater when you are facing it.
Zcomic,
They are doing Sorcery in the Sky on July 4th. You're right, they don't do it on a regular basis anymore. But to me, that only adds to its appeal. So, do you have a recommended spot for my family of 5 to stand (or sit)?
That's great that they're doing it on the 4th. I would think that the best spot would be on the street facing the Chineese theatre but back a little ways so you can see Mickey come out at the end. When we say the show in '97 we were a little off to the side which was a great view of the fireworks but missed seeing Mickey. Enjoy the show!!!
