My beloved Badgers lost last night, so no New Year's Day bowl for me :(. Instead, they are going to the Orange Bowl in Miami on 12/30 at 8:00 PM. The WORST bowl for my WDW schedule. I have had that day planned for over 30 days with kick-butt evening FPs and the evening dessert party at 10:40. I want to watch the Badgers but I also want to stick close to the MK and make it back for the dessert party and the 12/30 fireworks. I wish I could go the the Top of the World Lounge but we are staying at the Swolphin from 12/28-1/2 instead of DVC so we are not eligible to visit.

I'm looking for a bar with a TV or two that'll have the game on, where I can get something to eat that is (preferably) on the monorail loop, but I would also be OK with WL. I don't want to bus from anywhere.

I am wracking my brain trying to come up with a bar that fits the bill, but I just can't think of one. The fall-back would be to go to the ESPN Club across from our resort and Uber to the Contemporary, but I am afraid of the traffic on 12/30.

Wouldn't the lounge in The Wave have TV's?

That would be the easiest.

I don't recall the Wave's bar so I don't know if it has a TV. I heard it's nice. I'm going to see if I can dig up some photos.

Yeah, we've only walked by it, never actually went in.

Every other lounge at a Deluxe or mod resort I've been in had at least a couple TV's.

Orange Bowl will be on ESPN, all the bars/lounges with TVs should have it.

As others have mentioned - the Wave @ Contemporary is a good choice - excellent food, decent TVs.

I've had fun watching games at Crockett's Tavern @ Fort Wilderness (bar is relatively small and they will NOT allow anyone to stand at the bar, so make sure you arrive early to secure a seat).

I've also watched games at Outer Limits @ Contemporary (no food) and Tambu Tambu @ Poly (only a few seats at the bar have a decent TV view, can order off Kona Cafe menu).

Does anyone recall if Mizner's has TVs? Because this is my favorite for food, drink and atmosphere, but I honestly can't recall if there were TVs.

Fellow Badger fan here. I understand the need to watch the game! I would make sure to get wherever you go early and ensure you get a seat with a decent view. I once streamed a game while my family watched Fantasmic, so it is definitely possible. Just remember to not watch & walk.

1. I am mad at the Badgers for losing and putting Bama into the playoffs. (only kind of kidding :D )

2. We missed the epic comeback game for the Saints vs Redskins while in Universal. I would suggest recording the game at home if you can and then following the score on your phone. I know it sucks, but the wifi will probably be horrible with so many people using it.

I love Mizner’s and I think it does have a TV but I don’t think it’s quite the right atmosphere lol. I would feel odd cheering in there.

i would personally stream it off Reddit.
my second option would be tambu lounge at the Poly.

Weather being nice, I'd plan to head to WL and watch at the bar at Geyser Point. The one question I have, what other games are on at that time? Most of the bars in the area will probably have 1 TV, maybe 2 at most so you aren't going to have many options. If that's the only game, you'll be fine, that's what they'll have on. If there is more than one, you may have issues.

My BFF from college--at Alabama, thankyouverymuch--is married to a Wisconsin grad, and that game killed me. I needed Ohio State to win, but I wanted Wisconsin to! So, I feel your pain :( Anyway, I just wanted to second what a PP said--wifi could be awful, with everyone jostling for FP and posting to FB every five seconds. So just be mentally prepared in case you miss it. I streamed Bama and Ole Miss during the TOT race once, and it wasn't perfect, but was better than nothing. But that was way outside the parks. Good luck, go Badgers, and Roll Tide!!
