Where to waitlist?

Out of the blue, my DH suggested (yesterday) that we plan a couples-only trip for Columbus Day weekend. Not surprisingly, all studios are booked that weekend. Ideally, we (along with a lot of other people) would love to be in an EPCOT resort to be close to F&W. However, we would be happy just to be there. Which resort should we waitlist to increase our chances of getting a room?

Pick any two of the three largest resorts SSR, AKL, & OKW.

Even though I know our best bet would be to wait list two of the largest resorts, I think I might only wait list one of the three. I kind of want to take a chance on one of the resorts that is more of a long-shot...just to see what happens.

Waitlisting BWV studio for Columbus Day would be an exercise in futility at this point, I would go with OKW.

Your best chances of success for a studio are SSR and OKW non HH. After that I suspect it's BWV pool/garden and AKV kidani standard followed by VWL. Remember that it doesn't matter how large the resort is but the booking category since you can't WL an entire resort, only a category, max 2 per master contract at one time.

Once you get something you can always WL again to try to move up the ladder.

If you have multiple UY's then you get 2 waitlists for each one. Having multiple contracts under a single membership still only has 2 waitlists. And it then also needs to make sense to accept the waitlist filling from any of the UY's which isn't always the case depending on how you use them.

It can be an advantage but I doubt it's rarely worth the hassle of multiple master contracts for that reason along. However, if multiple UY's make sense anyway, it's an added benefit.
