We just got off the Fantasy & booked 2 placeholders. I had no Internet access until now, but did not receive an e-mail, nor can I view it on my reservations...

I instantly got an email after booking my placeholder this August on the Wonder. (I didn't see it until I got home 2 days later.)

I can also see mine now when I go onto the Disney cruise line website. I go to 'castaway club', 'view your cruises', and then it comes up as an 'upcoming cruise'. It lists the date as being 1/1/34; GTY stateroom, and then the reservation number. If I click the reservation number it just sends me to 'my cruise reservations', but doesn't think I have a reservation. I don't think that area is active until you book an actual cruise.

I got an email from my Travel Agent 2 weeks after I booked the placeholder, saying that she just received the info from DCL.

Thanks for the reply. I found one confirmation #. The other placeholder was booked under my DHs name, but he has no seperate login. Any idea where I could find that one. I think being on a cell is limiting what I see.

Only by viewing his Castaway Club info. I don't know if you can access that via your log in or not. I don't think so, he would have to have a separate log in.

I have no idea. This was our first cruise and first placeholder booked. Maybe if you put in his castaway club member # somewhere? I manage the rest of the family, so I can see their member numbers when I go under my profile, memberships & passes.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking too. He has no MDE login, but has a DVC one. Do you know if I can just create an acct for him using his DVC login?

Don't know - I'd suggest giving it a try. But, it really doesn't involve much setting up an account on DCL. I set my husband's up so that I can access his info when necessary.

I made an account for each member of our family since growing up the kids each get their own CC number. I can access and make sure things are good with their different reservations.

That's a good idea. Guess I'll set him up an acct... Not that he'll ever access it... Sigh...

You're lucky! I also booked a placeholder on our sailing and once we were back home, I had no email and it wasn't in my account when I logged in. To make matters worse, the gift card I had brought with me on board wasn't touched! I ended up calling DCL in a panic after we got home. They sent me a "new" email and assured me it was booked. I finally figured out that she never actually charged my gift card (thankfully, I kept it - I nearly threw it out!!) and charged my credit card on file instead. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper about the whole situation.

We've since booked an actual cruise with it (yah, I lasted a whole two weeks before booking something) but it never showed up in my DCL online account until I had an actual cruise associated with it.

They need to provide a paper or confirmation number or something at the desk. I nearly had a panic attack when I couldn't find the booking online, didn't have an email and my gift card was untouched!

(Also, word to the wise, never throw out a gift card you think it used. It might not be!)
