Where to upgrade our tickets at?

When we arrive at the world in February I will want to upgrade our 4-day base tickets to 5-day. This will cost me around $65-$75. I am hoping to do this with a well informed, knowledgeable cast member so that it will not take as much time.

Where would the most experienced cast members be found? At the resorts, front gates of the parks? Where do you think I would have the best luck?

GR outside one of the parks. We did ours at Epcot - took 5 minutes.

I think you could do it at Guest Relations at your WDW resort too. Unless it's a pass from UT, in which case I think you have to use it to enter a park first and then go to GR for the upgrade. Someone with more knowledge and experience should verify.

The resorts do not have guest relations - they have concierge (there is a difference). An upgrade is standard and easy for regular tickets. Just avoid anyone training and you will be fine.

Come to ticket booths. Tickets are all we do, most of us know what we're doing, and we rarely have long lines at any park but MK. (The TTC is a madhouse pretty often.) I spend huge portions of my days at Epcot, DHS, and DAK reading the hub because there's nothing to do.

You can go to Guest Relations inside or outside a park, but they tend to have longer lines.

I don't trust most resort concierges to do ticketing stuff after having to fix so many of their problems.

You don't have to use tickets before upgrading, but you can if you want. Just do the upgrade before the end of the final day on the tickets.

Ok, so I should have no problem upgrading my 4, 4 day-base tickets to 4, 5-day base tickets for somewhere in the ballpark of $65-$75?

I see $15 difference between a 4 day & 5 day. Your upgrade for 4 tickets should be $60 + tax, do your numbers are correct.

When did you purchase your current tickets.

That is likely true, if the tickets were purchased during this year's current prices.
(These things can be more complicated than they first appear.)

In July of 2015, I think. Pretty sure.

Then, there's the problem with purchasing tickets directly from Disney if you intend to upgrade them in the future.

You must pay for the upgrade AND the 2016 price increase in order to upgrade.
