Where to upgrade my MYW ticket *before* checking into resort?

We purchased MYW tickets but when the AP rates came out, we booked our room using an AP rate. I know I need to upgrade one of our tickets to an AP before we check in so they will honor the discounted rate. Where would be the easiest place to upgrade my ticket? We're staying at FW cabins, so MK would probably be closest, but considering that we'd have to park and then take WDW transportation from the parking lot to the gate, that doesn't seem very easy (esp since we've never been here before and will probably not have a clue what we're doing, LOL). Would any other parks be easier to access the gate from the parking lot? Any way we can avoid paying to park (since we are staying on property, but we won't have our resort ID's yet). I think I've also read something about a guest services bldg in downtown disney? Would that be an option?

You can not upgrade to an AP at FW or any other resort. You have to go to guest relations at one of the theme parks or DTD. DTD has two guest relations places- one on the west side and one at the marketplace. The one on the marketplace side is very close to the roadway. (hard to explain but its a big curve with the marketplace on one end-the right side looking at the water, then pleasure Island in the middle and the west end on the left side again facing the water) The guest relations in the marketplace is in a kiosk on the extreme right side- the first entranceway. It is between ONce upon a toy to the right and Summer sands on the left.You can park in the first parking lot (marked A on the map) and just walk accross the street to the guest relations kiosk. I don't think they charge for parking.

If that doesn't work for you, we have always gone to EPCOT Guest Relations for our GAP (Autistic son). If you go toward the end of the day, they don't charge you to park, and you can take the tram right to the front gate. Guest Relaions is there.

We did this the day we arrived. The one at DTD is around the corner from the Sun/Sport shop,but Ghirradellis.
