Where to trade?

Hi,

we are at WDW from 01/25 till 02/04. As its our first trip since we started pin collecting and trading ( mostly DLRP-Pins ) I would like to know if there are special places and times time where pintraders meet.

I have a few suggestions.

First, go to one of Scoop's 1:00 (1300) pin talks where you will generally meet up with a lot of traders.

Second, bring a lot of excess DLRP rack pins to trade; they are rare at WDW and "worth" more to collectors here.

Third, avoid "Pin Traders" at Downtown Disney; the area is full of "sharks" who go after inexperienced people.

Also, look at some of the other items at the above site. It will let you know what is going on.

Yo Cheshire Figment have you ever been to DLRP? I personally thought the sharks there were far worse than ones at DTD. They would start yanking stuff out of your book without any warning plus none that I met spoke any English which made trading even more difficult. For some reason they feel that all DLRP pins are really valuable to Americans. What is it with you and DTD? It is definitely worth a vist to DTD.

I miss trading at the big table in the jewelry room of WOD. It was chaotic and fun..kind of like the New York Stock Exchange of pin trading . Yes, there was always a shark or two circling, but there were always nice people who would let you know if a trade was fair or not. I made some awesome trades there.

I think trading at Pin Traders is fine. Just trust your instincts..don't be afraid to say no if the trade feels unfair to you.

And don't forget to check out Thursday night pin trading at All Star Sports Food Court, 7 pm.

For the Disney planed pin trading places I like the Food Court at All Stars. For the more hard to get pins... Well DTD is best as you will get a better flow of folks in and out...

It is funny Leslie, Sandy and I where just there and when we walked by the window at WOD we said the same thing.... Ahh Good Times!!! I still like to go to DTD as I make my best trades there... I have to give to get but when I want a pin who cares...

Yepp that´s true and the reason that I dont trade a lot at DLRP. I dont speak French and always feel quite unconfortable there.
