Hi folks
wheres the best place to stay close to the cruise ship? over nite. Do tell everything.lol

Hi, we have stayed several times at the Radisson in Cocoa Beach, five minutes from the port. They even will let you park there and they have a shuttle to take you to the ship. They have a beautiful pool with cascade waterfalls. We get our reservations online and usually you can get very good deals especially if you have AAA or some other government discount, etc.

Stay close by the ship and RELAX! It's worth the money to have that evening and morning break - plus you get to meet some of your fellow cruisers and share times with them. Always a pleasure!

We have stayed at the Radisson twice, once in August 2003 and again in August 2004, we have nothing but nice things to say about our stay there.

Hey Andy! Where have YOU been?!?!?! Have not seen you posting on the Northeast Disney Meet thread and thought I lost ya. :)

Make your presence known to us sometimes will ya? ::yes::

We stayed at the Radisson last time. It was OK, but I wish I'd gone with my gut and book on Disney property, then driven in the morning. We are early risers, so the hour drive in the morning isn't an issue.

The hotel was fine. The pool was nice (big, no slide). Room was very nice. The restaurant OK (too small). Port Canaveral is basically an industrial strip of piers, hotels, and highways - not lush. But the biggest gripe - its a hotel that caters to people leaving on their cruise the next day - and not all the clientele were "family cruisers" if you understand where I am heading.

Next trip will will likely be landing someplace between 11pm and midnight the night before, so we will stay at the MCO Hyatt.

We stayed at the Radisson on 12/11/04 and thought it was good. We paid $99 for a pool side room. My only small complaint was there was a party or convention going on in the evening so the pool area was busier than I had hoped.

There's a Budget rental car a block away that was convenient to rent a car at MCO and return it in Port Canaveral, then rent another car for the way back to MCO.
