where to stay

We are Wisconsinites making our first trip to CA with our DD's 10, nearly 8 and nearly 4. We are staying near San Diego but plan to make a trip down to do Disney on 1/9/13 and 1/10/13. My MIL is going to come so there are 7 of us ... where do you all recommend we stay for that one night? I would like to be able to walk back in case the little one needs a nap or something...THANKS for your helpl

My family & I usually stay @ the Anaheim Camelot Inn & Suites. It's right across the street from Disneyland. on Harbor street.
