Where to stay....

My Dh and I are planning a trip to Disneyland for our 1st anniversary next March. We also want to go visit some of his family in Santa Barbara and we are looking for somewhere between there and Disneyland to stay for a couple of nights. For reasons that I don’t want to go into we don’t want to stay in Santa Barbara, close is ok but not in. DH wants somewhere close to the beach and I want some where not too expensive.....Any ideas or suggestions on hotels or areas????

La Quinta in Ventura is really nice and very close to the beach.
But you won't get closer to the beach than The Inn On the
Beach - also in Venture.

Ventura is about 30 miles from SB and 95 miles from Disney.

Santa Monica is just about the same - about 90 miles to SB
and 40 miles to DLR.

Casa del Mar is right on the beach and the price reflects that.
But it's beautiful! Check out Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel
. The Travelodge in Santa Monica is pretty amazing. The
famous pier is right across the street and it's much cheaper.
