We're flying into MCO on Friday evening. We land around 6:00. Last year we stayed at the Radisson at the Port the night before and that worked out fine, but we got in a lot later. We're renting a car, so transportation isn't a problem. Since we're getting in earlier, I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to find a hotel, maybe near Downtown Disney, and then drive to the port the next morning. :confused3 What would you do? Hang out at Downtown Disney, or head straight for the port?

We drove from Indpls and stayed one night at the Wyndam before driving approx. two hours to get to Port Canaveral. Having the one night prior to boarding was relaxing. My kids loved Wyndam kiddie pool and we adults loved the live music being played in the bar in the evening. We checked out early and had time to walk the strip and visit the Hard Rock Cafe' and the other retail shops. We'd definately try going to the Wyndam again. One tip for the wyndam is take your kids w/ you when you check in. You might get a room that has bunk beds for the kids.

:cool1: Hi there, we are flying into MCO the day before as well. Where is the Wyndam at? Is this near the port or Orlando. Please let me know as the Wyndam sounds nice to me :earsgirl:

The lobby is breathtaking. My DH tried priceline and we ended up getting a great rate and had a fantastic one night stay.
