Hi, all! We are heading back to wdw after a several year hiatus. As such, we've yet to experience MDE or FP+. We are going in May 2016 and are considering either the contemporary or poly. The contemporary is a cheaper option (by about $1000).

We are making this trip because my husband had a conference at the OCCC. He will be gone from 8:00-3:00 daily. My plan to maximize FP+ and include him, is to hit MK at rope drop each morning and ride as much as we can before lunch w/o FP and then head back to the hotel to rest and meet hubs. We will then hop to another park with hubs for our 3 FPs.

Is this a decent plan, and with that in mind, which hotel would be easiest to get to and from MK?

Thanks so much!

I love both the contemporary and poly. I think you would love either one. The poly is definitely not $1000 better than the contemporary in my opinion. For that amount of money and the ability to walk to and from the MK, the contemporary wins for sure in your situation.

The easiest resorts to get to the MK will be Bay Lake Tower (a DVC Resort) or the Contemporary Resort. Both are an easy walk to the MK. Next would be the Poly, the Grand Floridian or the Wilderness Lodge. These are a monorail or boat ride away. I just saw that a monorail broke down today and had to be evacuated by the fire department. In your situation the Contemporary Resort would probably be your best bet. Cheers!!!!!
