These boards are such a wealth of information that they make my head spin! Can anyone reccomend a hotel INSIDE Disney that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
I am so confused with all these hotels.
Thanks so much for any help.
Any links to these hotels? Sorry if I am asking much.
Thank you,
Jenn

The value resorts are not too expensive - especially with a code. We like the POP the best of the values. Now don't get me wrong I love the Deluxe and Moderate resorts but if I stay at a value I can go to WDW more often!!

Hi, i agree. Its so different from the westcoast.

Basically you have the values, pop century, the all star hotels. They're basically like motels but have amazing theming. Free transportation as they're on site and about as far from the parks as the moderates.

moderates are about 50 percent more, slightly larger rooms and the theming is not as intense, or tacky. They also have a hot tub although it will be rather crowded as these are still very large resorts. They are also like motels in that they don't have interior exits for the rooms.

I'd say go for the values if you can't afford a deluxe and they are a lot more. Moderates are ok but personally I miss all the extras of the deluxe and you don't get that much more than you do at the values.

The values and the moderates are the best bets. There are also the Swan and Dolphin on WDW property but these are not owned by Disney. The good thing is they are as nice as the Disney deluxe hotels but are priced more like the moderates. You can get steep discounts if you or someone with you is a teacher, gov't employee, or has a AAA.
The owner of the DIS has tons of info on the hotels here:
http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/Resorts/resortmain1.htm

Check out www.allears.net and click on the accomodations link. That site has lots of info on each of the hotels too.

Whatever you decide,have fun!!

Disney has lots of onsite hotels so there isn't a real solid answer to your questions. If budget is a concern then you should look at the value resorts - All Stars and Pop Century. It depends on the time of year you are wanting to visit and how many of you are traveling ... as to the price and what might be available.

Disney's next category are moderates. These are Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter, Carribean Beach, and Coronado Springs. These are slightly more than the values - I say slightly as it depends on what time of year you are going. There may be times of the year when they are considerably more.

The top category for Disney are the deluxes. These are Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Beach Club/Yacht Club and Boardwalk. Dolphin and Swan are on Disney property but not operated by Disney. Sometimes you can get some good deals here.

This site under Accomodations has good info on each of the hotels. The other site to look is at http://allearsnet.com/acc/faq_hot.htm. They also have good info.

If you give a few more specifics about time of year you are traveling, number in your party and their ages we might be able to help more.

Welcome to the disboards.
