Where to stay near Magic Kingdom

We are looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel near magic kingdom...either a disney hotel or another hotel.

We are travelling with an infant, so we will need to make one or two trips back to the hotel during the day...so we are looking for something convenient for travelling back and forth between the hotel and the park.

Well...if you want to be close to the MK, only the onsite hotels will work but they aren't the cheapest. There are TONS of places offsite near WDW...just check out one of the travel sites.

no inexpensive hotels are near the MK - only the deluxes.

there is an inexpensive Disney hotel near Studios and Epcot - Pop Century.

if that is too much then Best Western Lakeside is not too far

or the comfort inn LBV - that is having the sale.

both of these are older hotels - so don't go expecting fun. WDW is the only one who can afford to kept their hotels looking like new.

Not so fast, my friend.

Many of the better offsite hotels have refurbish schedules that are equal to Disney's. They will not be the rock-bottom least expensive, but they will compare favorably to a Disney Moderate in both price and amenities.

OP: if you are flying in, it would be hard to be the value of a Disney Value resort plus Disney transportation. If you are driving in, or can spend just a bit more money, there are several wonderful offsite options that open up.
