Where to Stay in Santee, S.C.?

Hi,
Looking for a nice, but reasonable place to stay in Santee on our way down from NJ.

Thinking of staying at the Holiday Inn there, as it has been recently remodeled.

I do remember staying at the Days Inn in Santee a couple of years back, and it was a dump! Trying to look for a nicer place...

This is our first time driving to Disney, so I haven't stayed here, but I noticed some recommendations on these boards for this hotel in Santee.

Two years ago we stayed at the Hampton Inn. I believe it is only about four years old.

One year we stayed in a remodled Holiday Inn in Florence, SC. Although the bed were new it was too soft for my tastes.

We are booked to stay at Hampton inn. I had that days inn booked but because of these boards I switched. Read good reviews about the hampton inn and excellent reviews about their breakfast buffet.

Most trips we get all the way to Brunswick Ga. before we stop. THis last trip tho, Isabelle held up our departure time, so we were only able to get to Santee before stopping. We just picked out the Best Western there and found it to be very neat , clean and an excellent choice!!!

Mark P., we stayed at that Holiday Inn in Santee last year! We didn't have a reservation, and decided to stop last minute on the way to WDW from Jersey. We saw the renovated sign on I95...so we decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised! Not only did we get a rate of $56, but the room was pretty nice. Very clean and actually fashionable! We are driving again next summer and will not hesitate to stop there again!
